I have this CD... it's been in my pile of "i'll get around to you" for a year...

It was brilliant and I'm a mug for not hearing this until yesterday! :)

This is a time 1001 albums chose an album that I love to bits. It's melodic, slightly chaotic, but above all a fun album. I could write a tonne about this one, instead I'll say 5* and continue getting ready for work :)

Complicated. I've written essays on this already (literally, for musicology I wrote this). Competent music, goes really well if you forget Eric Clapton's prejudices etc.

Adding a star because I think any chance for people to hear of Robert Johnson is a good thing, and Rambling was the first song I played in a band at the start of a college term.

Minus a star for a song called "little girl" - icky

This is why I enjoy 1001 so much! Heard the title track and people say "great album", and never would have thought to give it a go. :) It felt sad and nostalgic, in a way that maybe gets more heavy as the album ages, as there's two layers of nostalgia? Wow, and I could hear 90s Britpop all over this album too, so that was neat. :)

Rated 6/10

I actually didn't mind this! Not anywhere near my wheelhouse, but well put together and stayed interesting, lots of hooks etc. I much prefer the later acoustic-type stuff, but this'll do, and I totally get why it's on the list in terms of impact on culture etc. :)

Some really great music! From reading about the wider background around the album, I had no idea what an impact this album had.

I'm going to give it a 4 as I can't say it was a start-to-finish perfect album, but glad I've heard it. :)

It was pleasant but nothing stood out on this first listen - I might go back though as it was a nice album and might click with me later on?
