A lot of this sounds like Queen worship put through a 90s filter. It's certainly interesting. A little too poppy for me at points but overall I enjoyed it.

I enjoy the instrumentals especially when it gets into more jazzy sounds. The vocals don't really do it for me though and make it feel like cheaper soft rock.

Very psychedelic and intense, especially for 1966. Really cool to find something so old that sounds so fresh!

I can definitely see the influence this had on the post-rock that I love. It's a bit more chill and upbeat than I prefer but I still really enjoyed the laid back jamminess to it.

In my opinion, Everywhere at the End of Time is his true masterpiece and should be here instead. I enjoy this album though as a sort of appetizer version when I can't commit hours on end to listen to EATEOT. Caretaker's style is so hauntingly beautiful and dark.

My favorite album by one of my favorite bands. As the name suggests, it really is perfect night driving music. Just an immaculate vibe. I like the mix of vocal and instrumental tracks and the album flow is perfect.

This is one of if not the first album I think of when I think of 90s alt rock. It's iconic and the fact that it isn't on the main list is wild.

SUCH a nostalgic album. I loved these guys back as a teen. It's hard to separate it from that, but I think regardless it's a pretty solid alternative album.

My first thought upon listening to this was "we have Sufjan Stevens at home". Turns out I was more right than I knew because this is the guy who made that awful collab album with Sufjan a few years back, so that tracks. It's fine it just makes me want to listen to similar albums that are better.
