Cabaret and trip-hop is a wild combo that works better than it should. Super interesting. The album is just gorgeous from front to back.

Only half serious when I say it, but definitely not NOT serious - this is back when there was *real* country. Not this "beer in my truck" crap. The lyrics are good and the instrumentation is actually interesting and varied.

I really enjoyed this as a casual fan of Grime. I still have the same issue I do with most recent albums on here though, that I think it's far too early to

Wild and weird, especially for 66. This album is insane, but somehow still relatively accessible which is very impressive. Plus adding in its place as one of the first concept albums AND one of the first double albums, it's definitely earned its place here.

A really cool mishmash of sounds. I love Eno and his work here is fantastic and mixes with the rest of the band flawlessly to make an album that feels very futuristic even today.

Another banger from Harvey. I love Albini's production on this one. It's super clean and tight and allows the intensity of her performance to shine.

Wasn't expecting this to be so early when I first started listening. It was enjoyable if kind of generic sounding to me. I liked the focus on drums.

I love Tom Waits' stuff when it's unhinged and rough and this album is really the start of that. It still holds up as well. I love the vocals and the instrumentation compliments them amazingly.

Good stuff as always from R.E.M. I dig the environmentalist themes. Tragically as relevant today as ever.

I know that I basically love all aughts-era indie but this album really is something special. Just banger after banger. Such a great coming-of-age album.

Interesting to hear a mix of R&B, dance, and reggae. It shouldn't work as well as it does. I could see this doing really well at a club. It's not quite my thing for home listening but it was still pleasant to listen to.

One of the prog greats. I prefer Close to the Edge but Fragile is a solid second place. I like how the sides are split between group and solo contributions. The solo ones are stripped down but not lacking in spite of that.
