Jeg synes, det er rigtig kedeligt

Not bad to listen to. Did not understand anything, but was not annoying. 3/5

Rated 6/10

Pleasant listen, but nothing to really light my fire. Not something I would have found on my own, but I'm glad to have given it a listen. I actually didn't mind the longer track (Amandrai) that people were pissing on Ry Cooder for getting too involved in, but I don't mind a meandering, long drawn out song.

Rated 8/10

At the start I thought this would be an easy 5 stars. But just the guitars kind of wore thin by the end of the record. Perhaps if it was shorter or there was just a bit more variation, but alas 4 stars it is.

Rated 6/10

Not much I can say about it - an ok album.

"Keito" was a bit like Angine de Poitrine but actually playing live without loopers.

Rated 4/10

I know it's supposed to be repetitive (and normally I'm OK with that - shoutout to Paysage d'Hiver and Ravi Shankar), but this was really a drag to get through.

Rated 8/10

enjoyed this one more than the other album from him on the list

Rated 10/10

Slinky guitar riffs in a Groove, often with singing and all of it looping and loping along.

It often slips into a Glass / Reich style minimalism. Other tracks seem to be built from the same raw materials blues guitar.

Beautiful playing of great music.

it's background music. you couldve picked a better "world" album 2.5

chill

Rated 6/10

The album had a kind of psych sound on the guitar that is now very prevalent it's kind of interesting to ear that in an old album.

Rated 6/10

smooth and mellow guitar albums are not normally my bag but this is great if a little slow and reparative

Rated 6/10

Re top review: at least it's an interesting guy getting 2 records instead of the 9th Elvis Costello. But yeah, as cool as Ali is, this ain't exactly essential.

(I realise now you were making a similar point. Way to skim-read, me)

Nice album. I really like this kind of thing and wish I spoke a single African language so that I could engage with it more. The only place this lacked was maybe in the recording side in that it was a bit flat.

Rated 4/10

One of the things I love about this website is how it exposes you to music from all over the world that you’d likely not be exposed to.

A really enjoyable album, again didn't understand any lyrics but it sounded good
