Classic as hell. While it may not be my personal favorite I find it tough to argue against this being Tool's most important release. It deserves to be on the official list.

I respect Springsteen but it just isn't for me so this was kind of a slog.

How is this not on the official list? One of the most important albums of all time. A classic from front to back and a genre defining statement.

I'm surprised this one isn't on the base list honestly. It's a classic and hugely influential. I love ska and this is a great example of it.

Not my favorite Paramore album by any stretch but it's still solid. I think it's somewhat of a transition album between their earlier emo sound and their later more standard alternative sound.

This really brings me back to the time period right around the end of my time at college. Very melancholic vibes at points while still being optimistic for the future. It's very catchy and his unique voice really complements the instrumentals.
Rated 8/10
Cool mix of post-hardcore and some other interesting genres. I dig how it maintains a heavy sound but still has lots of melody and energy to it.

I like the piano. She has a very nice voice as well. I don't think this album is essential by any stretch but I did enjoy listening to it well enough.
Rated 4/10
Very ok chill sadgirl indie. I think there are far better examples of this style that could be included but it's not like actively bad or anything.

Bright Eyes are just an S tier band all around. This is one of their best albums too. It's gorgeous with a perfect mix of sadness and optimism.
Rated 2/10
This kind of music just does nothing for me. It's cringey and saccharine. Instrumentally it's... fine. There's a song about god and the thin blue line. Gross.
Rated 8/10
Nothing but respect for Mr. Yankovic. He's an icon. This album isn't his best but it's still amazing.
Rated 2/10
This is so goofy lmao. I can't decide if they're in on it or 100% sincere. I'm leaning sincere, which just kind of makes this release a cringefest.

I've listened to a bit of WHY? but never a full album I don't think. It's pretty cool. I like both indie rock and hip-hop and this is a very interesting mix of the two.
Rated 4/10
Very standard fair pop rock. It's inoffensive but not really exciting either. Pretty bizarre inclusion.
Rated 10/10
Incredible album. It's very theatrical and catchy throughout while really pushing their range.
Rated 8/10
Love Gambino. This album took a bit to grow on me since I was used to his stuff being more hip-hop oriented but I’ve grown to love the more funk direction of it.
Rated 10/10
I love bass and also jazz fusion so a combo focusing heavily on both is right up my alley. This is incredibly sick.
Rated 6/10
I've heard of Eels before but never listened. It's fun enough indie pop but doesn't blow me away or anything. I like his voice.
Rated 8/10
I dug the mix of often pleasant instrumentals with dark and bleak lyrics. It was very hauntingly beautiful.
