Surprising to me that, given this kind of weirdo stuff is my bent, I'd only ever heard the name. I liked it though I felt it was a little sparsely designed at times and perhaps a little to twee to be arch.

I used to use this album as a stereo demo among others in rotation for clients. One thing I'll say for it is pretty well recorded and varied. Nice mix of songs. A bit long but I actually found myself succumbing to a bit of nostalgia for it.

I like her voice without the overly churched affectations. I prefer the jazz club portions of her music. She doesn't offend me in the way that many of her ilk did. I will never listen to this again but it didn't hurt my feelings excepting one regard...it was over an hour. That's a lot.

Great album. Varied and interesting with the skein of her odd voice rubbing through it. I guess I'm a sucker for unusual singers. I quite enjoy rush. I feel like folks either love or hate them. Wake the witch and the first track are standouts here for me.

Funky decent and mostly instrumental album and I happened to have some paperwork stuff to focus on so it worked a treat. I enjoyed it.

Some of the songs I maybe over-heard? They aren't bad but it felt like a chore at points. I'll upgrade it situationally?

Twee and so much more relaxing than the name suggests.
Rated 8/10
Great production and certainly a fun listen. It's a classic.

I'm not sure what mood I have to be in to really enjoy this album or if I've ever been in it but I think I want to be at least once. Not everyday. God no. My life would be a train wreck.

I grew up listening to punk but I think weird, loose tropicalia may be my retirement home.
Rated 6/10
Decent album by a band I think I may have heard a few songs by previously. Ash is interesting in that the feeling I kept getting was: this is good but it can't be anyone's favorite band right?
Rated 6/10
There's something about big star that's just a touch too wanky for me at all times. Still a decent album but I lack the DNA that makes me fully embrace this.
Rated 4/10
I didn't care for the mix on this album and the songs were a little tougher than later albums in a way that I did t care for. Maybe it was my mood.
Rated 6/10
A totally harmless and somewhat enjoyable Elvis album.
I do appreciate the gimmick here but it was t a thing I really liked.
Just a great album and, while neither of those guys by themselves are astounding vocalists, together they do make a kind of alchemy.
Easy to listen to Pop goodness.

Just not a huge fan of storytime country I suppose. Parsons doesn't scratch an itch I have.
Rated 4/10
I could never party to the who. It just never really tripped my trigger. I'm not even sure who it was designed for. I don't resent it flatly but it does nothing for me personally. Something feels off. Unlike with stones or, like, great northern soul stuff I just can't get down with it.
Rated 6/10
More enjoyable and filled with more cloying Americana than even other Elvis albums. Not bad.
