This was not the strongest Wilco album. It felt like a bit of a weak tea compared to other offerings. I didn't dislike it but the tracks felt like they lacked a range even within the track.

I'm not a big who fan but this was actually a great concept album. I liked the skits as transitions and the playfulness. I can't say it's a 4 from me but I feel guilty for the 3 I'm alotting it because it's somewhat north of that.

Really nice funky album. Basically a great album that matches its cover well. A hilarious soft make-out. I'd listen again happily. 4/5.

It's a Billie Holiday album. It's awesome. Maybe it's a bit too much of a good thing in spots? Could use additional variation but that's more emblematic of the time than anything. Lord knows most Ink Spots and Brook Benton albums of the era have the same issue. Still pretty great! Love the outtakes at the end.

Solid. Rugged little punky album. I guess I lean more melodic NOFX and BR on the whole but this wasn't bad. I was born in 81 so my punk was later and they were still telling me it was dead when I was 12. I think it's all pretty ok.

Even more depressed wall-of-sound Oasis. Which is an improvement in my estimation. They certainly have a sound they like. It's just a bit muzzy for me. They are very good at it.

I like LCD well enough but never was a devoted listener like my brother. I'd really only listened through a sound of silver as an album. I have to say that I like this one a bit better.

Somehow, despite my love of queso fundido, this band has escaped my ear. What a treat! They've really done a great job of modernizing the chamber-pop thing and still feeling like they're paying homage rather than carelessly aping it. I, for one, loved it. If you aren't into this sort of thing I can see it grating, but luckily, it lives up to its album title. It is concise and of high-quality. It isn't a perfect album although it is a fine representation for its delegation. I'm like a 3.5 but I can't go 3 soooo...

I basically liked every track.

What a truly weird but interesting album. I can't say I enjoyed the experience roundly but it got my attention at several points and I'd love to time travel just to see what a show would've been like.
Rated 6/10
What an odd little album. Although I felt like it was a touch long, I did enjoy it for the first 50 minutes or so. I don't know if I'll listen to it again, but it definitely kept my attention. I like a band that defies genre so deftly. I always wonder how such a group manages to tour a live show? Oh, you play keys, koto, marimba, guitar, vox, kazoo, stand up bass, and hammer dulcimer?

I quite like the cure. This album almost didn't feel like a cure album. It felt like the trimming is on the recording room floor. It was interesting enough but nothing seemed to resolve in a meaningful way.
Rated 6/10
Really odd all old country album with some funny old tubes and standards. I actually enjoyed it if the periodic yodelling was upsetting to the dog.

Aside from some pretty epic moments it was a chore to wade through.

First, I am just not a Zep fan. Immigrant song is amazing but the rest of this album is a low point compared to other albums by them.

I quite like Bowie and 1. Outside is one of my favorite albums. He shifted to distinct personas and styles throughout his career.
Very occasionally he released and album that just felt like it was indistinct and interstitial. This was one of those.
I didn't dislike it. It was fine but it lacks the wild energy of other works. Kinda felt like he was still coming out of whatever cocoon he was emerging from. Stylistically muzzy.

I quite like xdc's earlier stuff and have spent a good bit of time listening to it. That said, I did not know about this album. I think it suffers a little bit from being too tame? I like the lyricism but the subject matter leaves me a little unenthused. It's still XTC but it feels a bit too aged and comfortable. There's still a few excellent tracks on here.
Rated 6/10
Not really a dance music guy but this was fun and silly and raunchy. I'd put it on to alienate a crowd.
Rated 8/10
Not my normal fare where hip-hop is concerned but basically every track was incentive and completely compelling for what it was. Still not sure it's my thing but I have a great deal of respect for what she is as an artist. The Mr. Bungle of the Lady rapper world. Wish I could go 3.75 but it leans to 4 bc I can't bring myself to a 3.

I enjoyed this more than I even thought I would and not merely as some vessel for irony. The writing and composition were interesting and varies and by the time it was done I was kind of hoping for more.
