It's not quite a 4 for me but it's better than a 3. I get why this album means as much as it does all these years later.

This felt really edgy to me in my youth, now it feels really comfortable. Still hits, just differently
Rated 4/10
Extremely dated. It's fine but it doesn't deserve to be on this list
Rated 4/10
This was so beyond mid
Rated 6/10
The highs are high but there are some real duds on this album
Rated 10/10
This is just front to back bangers even if lyrically Brown Sugar is just fucking strange approach to taking about slavery
Rated 4/10
This was kinda boring. They opening track was just really not my thing and then the rest of the album proceeded to also really not be my thing
Rated 6/10
It feels bland by today's standards
Rated 6/10
It's softer Nick Cave which is not always my thing but this works for me anyway
Rated 4/10
This felt as mid as mid could be. 2.5 stars, rounded down

I can't figure out why this album is on this list.

Reminds me of me da, he loved ELO. This isn't what I normally go for but it hit me in the right mood at the right time! It's inconsistent and kinda strange in places but it just worked for me today
Rated 6/10
This album is fine and there are some great tunes on it but honestly, it's not my favourite Nick Cave. This one gets so the hype and it's partially deserved buy it's mostly because of Stagger Lee.
Rated 6/10
This was fine but just really not for me
Rated 10/10
I never had a physical copy of this album but I did listen to the shit out of this when I downloaded this as an MP3. I ended up going through a riot grrrl phase directly because of this album, sometime around 2001, of course well after that scene had all but ended. Still, I remember this time in my life fondly and this album dernière formed part of that soundtrack
Rated 4/10
Of all the 60s albums on this list, I cannot fathom why this is on it
Rated 6/10
Remind me so much of my old man
Rated 8/10
The highs on this are high but good gravy the lows are low
Someone smarter than me said this album is carried on the weight of the beginning and end of the album and I fully agree. A few songs on this area right shite.
Rated 8/10
Really enjoyed this. I can see how punk was the response to this
