Dub HousingPere Ubu

Rated 8/10

Like the other Pere Ubu album on the list I actually liked it despite it's low rating. I guess people don't like weird and I do. These type of albums are the reason I did the challenge. Not to confirm Abbey Road is indeed a 5* album. 3.5/5. Raising to 4.

I'm bias as I've seen him live and he puts on a great show. It's also sold 7 million copies so it hit a chord with people massively in Ireland and the UK. 4/5.

Went from the double album Will The Circle Be Unbroken by Nitty Gritty Dirt Band to this cheese. No business being on the list. 2/5.

Perfect example of an album I never would have touched if not for this list. Find it odd when people are complaining about something other than generic rock popping up. Why even do this?

Certainly a historically significant and it deserves a place. 3.5/5. Raising to 4.

Thom Yorke sounding at times. It's good overall. The arrangements are good and it's probably on here for that and the songwriting more than anything else. 3.5/5. Raising to 4.

FYI The album is only the first 10 tracks on Spotify.

I liked it but I like weird. Maybe it deserves a place on the list. 1968 is still a very experimental time (just look at how music psychedelic rock is on the list this year) so I dunno how innovative these guys actually are. 3/5.

An album that's here for its songwriting. It's a nice album. Struggle to see this in context of the time since I feel like I've heard this sort of thing a million times by now but this supposedly help paved the way for Americana. Can't confirm. 3/5.
