Well, this is probably my least preferred genere. So, in my opinion, this is clearly in the low range. I'd say around 1,5 stars.
In any case, I'm giving this two stars for two main reasons:
1) As mentioned, this is not my favourite genre, but I guess it's not that bad if listened to in the right "atmosphere", and
2) Some tracks are quite ok: "Science Friction", "Kein Trink Wasser", or "Are We Here?".

Soul is not my favourite style, but I found this albun pretty good. "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" is very good (clearly my favourite track). I also enjoyed some of the other tracks such as: "Run Charlie Run", "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" or "Mother Nature". I'd say this is in the 3,5 range. However, because of " Papa...", I'm giving this one 4 stars.

I would say that this is the hip-hop album I've enjoyed the most (with the exception of some albums that I feel are more hard rock and rap mixtures).

I found this quite enjoyable and, even if it is a bit too long (as almost always with this genre), I think this was pretty ok.

The arrangements and sampling are really smooth, and the delivery by Jay-Z is also nice.

Overall, I think this is between 3 and 4 stars.

This is not an easy album. It is interesting and complex. I like some of the stuff ("Temecula Sunrise", "Stillness Is The Move", "Two Doves", or "Fluorescent Half Dome"), whereas I find some other tracks a bit boring towards the end ("No Intention" or "Remade Horizon").

This is one of those albums that are likely to grow on you as you keep listening. That being said, I don"t really like the male voice (for some reason, I find him kind of annoying).

Overall, this is between 3 and 4 stars for me. Tough one.

I "enjoyed" this more than I expected. Definitely not my favourite genre (or a genre I'm familiar with). However, if for some highly unlikely reason, I ended up in a dance club, this would be actually ok.

It is pretty varied and, for instance, I enjoyed "Move Any Mountain" or "Make It Mine" (with its guitar riff).

This is between 2 and 3 stars for me. It may have reached 3 stars if it had been 20 min shorter, and/or if it had included a few more tracks with the guitar sound of "Make it Mine".

This is really good and interesting. I actually own the original album, but had never paid enough

It is complex and it requires several listens to really appreciate it. But it keeps growing on me. Very good.

Songs I enjoyed: "Hurt" (fantastic track and, of course, the cover by Cash is also fantastic), "Closer", "Reptile", "March of The Pigs", "Mr. Self Destruct", "A Warm Place" (I typically enjoy instrumental tracks) or "Heresy".

This is between 4 and 5 stars for me. However, taking into account its originality, influence, and legacy, I'm awarding this one 5 stars.

But well, this is definitely not for the faint-hearted.

This is a pretty good rock and roll album, with some folk and country influences. Not great. Not terrible. Some songs I enjoyed: "Gasoline Alley", "My Way Of Giving" (probably the best vocal production in the album), "Cut Across Shorty", or "Jo's Lament" (probably my favourite). This is between 3 and 4 stars for me but I think 3 stars is fair.

Good album. I like her broken voice and the overall message of the album. Interesting sound with nice combination of post-punk, blues, rock. Some of the tracks I enjoyed: "Broken English", "Guilt", "The Ballad of Lucy Jordan" (probably my favourite), or "Why'd Ya Do It". Not a big fan of the regae influence, but still pretty good. This is between 3 and 4 stars for me. Not a big fan of the "Working Class Hero" cover though.

Excellent album. A classic. When you have a first song like "Baba O'Riley"...and a last song like "Won't Get Fooled Again", it may seem difficult to fill the rest of the album. However, several great songs are still squeezed in between: "Bargain", "Love Ain't For Keeping" (which reminds me of "Blind Melon"), "Behind Blue Eyes", "My Wife" (with a very distinct sound with keys and brass arrangements) or "The Song Is Over". So, overall, a 5 star album in my opinion.

Very good album. The more I listen to it, the more I like it. The guitar work is really interesting.

This is definitely between 4 and 5 stars for me. It contains only 6 songs, and I think all of them are good. In particular, I enjoyed: "Breadcrumb Trail"(probably my favourite), "Washer", or "Good Morning, Captain".

So, as mentioned, this is 4,5 stars for me. For now, I will keep it at 4 stars...but it may grow on me.

This was indeed interesting. Quite enjoyable. I liked it. It is very varied, including instrumentals and some songs with latin, jazz or funk influences. Some songs I enjoyed: "Title Music", "One Two Cha Cha Cha", "Countes' Caper", "Baby, Let's Dance Together", "Romantic Theme", or "Mera Pyar Shalimar". Solid 3 stars (3,5 actually).

I'm not very familiar with Christina Aguilera's music. Not my favourite style but I found this album pretty good. However, it is definitely too long. Some songs I think are fine: "Walk Away", "Infatuation", "Impossible", "Beautiful", or "I'm OK" (probably my favourite track). Overall, this is a solid 3-star album for me.

Well, this is simply a classic...and for a good reason. 5 stars. I like concept albums, and this is among the best ones. It's original, varied, and
musically, and lyrically very interesting. I enjoyed most of the songs a lot. "Comfortably Numb" may be my favourite one (but I also enjoyed "Another Brick In The Wall" (the different part), "Mother", or "Run Like Hell". But even the short numbers are great for me.

Very good album. I like the genre (Pearl Jam is among my favourite bands) but I was not fully familiar with this album. I anticipated I would enjoy this one quite rapidly, but it actually took some listens to really appreciate it.

In any case, I think it contains some very good tracks. Some songs I enjoyed: "Halo of Ashes" (nice sitar sound), "All I Know", "Dying Days", "Sworn and Broken" (probably my favourite; nice work by Benmonth Tench), "Traveller", or "Gospel Plow". Overall, a solid 4 star album for me.

In my opinion, this is a fine album. As many people have said, this seems to somehow anticipate the works of other female songwriters such as Tracy Chapman. That may be true, but I personally prefer Chapman. This is of course good. I like the guitar playing and, overall, it is a nice listen. So, all considered, a solid 3 star album.

Good album. I had never listen to Cat Stevens and I was only vaguely familiar with his music. I found this one pretty good. I especially enjoyed the lyrics. It's another album in the range of 3,5 stars for me. Some songs I particularly enjoyed: "Where do the Children Play?", "Wild World", "But I Might Die Tonight", or "Father and Son" (clearly my favourite). Overall, I think it is 3 stars for me, especially since several of the songs are very good, but I found it a bit monotonous when listening the whole album.

Well...this is obvioulsy good. However, I find it hard to rate this very high. It is good, but I"m not a big fan. Overall, I tend to prefer the more stripped down songs rather than the ones with a big band.

This was pretty good. I had never heard of "TV On The Radio" but I found this album very interesting. Some songs I enjoyed: "Halfway Home", "Stork & Owl", "Family Tree", "Red Dress", or "Lover's Day". This is at least 3 stars...even close to 4 stars.
