Very artsy and pleasant album, always enjoy listening to it.

I guess this is one of these albums that are called iconic, isn't it

One of several albums on the list that I don’t need to listen to before confidently rating it a 5/5. That said, I am more than happy to spin Dark Side of the Moon today!

Thank God for Pink Floyd. Just when I was starting to lose my mojo for this journey........
Yes, it's a 5 star album. This is a remarkable piece of art, which demands to be listened to in a single sitting, and flows beautifully from start to finish (although, admittedly, some songs do stand up remarkably well outside of the confines of the album - looking at you, 'Money'). Containing some of the finest moments in recorded history (The Great Gig In The Sky, anyone??) along with groundbreaking studio wizardry (thanks to Alan Parsons) along with pithy lines about 'hanging on in quiet desperation is the English way', this album journeys through life, death, madness, money and everything in between. Heck, even a supposed filler track like 'Every Colour You Like' has some beautifully duelling, staccato guitars along with fantastic mellow synth lines to lead you into the crowning glory of Brain Damage/Eclipse.
I could go on about this album ad nauseum, but suffice it to say, this is one of my desert island discs. 5 stars every day of every week. See you on The Dark Side Of The Moon, indeed!!

Experiencia maravillosa.

It's Dark Side of the Bloody Moon. Nuff said!

Day 6
This gets better with time and that's a fact.
See what I did there? TIME? No? I'm sorry
Fav track: Us and Them
Rated 8/10
you know I listened to this a few times in middle and high school, did the wizard of Oz thing etc etc and never really loved it. but it's quite an easy listen and I honestly found it much more enjoyable than expected. of course it's a classic but I wasn't sure how much of that was boomer nostalgia and hype vs how much was merited

One of those albums where saying pretty much anything will be beating a dead horse that's already been beaten mercilessly for 56 years, and it's already decomposed and people are continuing to beat the ground beneath it regardless.
While it's not my favorite Pink Floyd album (I prefer Animals and Wish You Were Here), it's still a flawless album that is honestly pretty unique sounding. Whereas later albums are more focused on tighter tracks, Dark Side of the Moon breathes and vibes a lot more. Take a song like The Great Gig in the Sky (Honestly might be my favorite song on the album). That's just vibes and passion throughout.
And yeah, while it's not my favorite Pink Floyd album, unless you just flat out don't like Pink Floyd (Which I'll begrudgingly give some leeway on), anyone who sits there and claims this is an overrated album (especially in relation to their other albums) is trying way too fucking hard, and needs to be trying harder (Similar to hating on Nevermind by Nirvana. In Utero is the better album IMO, but Nevermind is still fucking amazing). This is a transcendentally amazing album, and so ubiquitous to the modern music landscape that claiming otherwise is just outright stupidity.
Don't really got much to say other than that, and I guess this is my contribution to beating the ground beneath that dead horse. Just a perfect album.

Nothing to add on this front. I can see it deserves its legendary reputation.

Fucking spectacular. Such a great feeling when an album with so much reputation completely lives up to the hype

This is a piece of art! My favourite from them is The Wall, but this one is objectively one of the best records in the history of mankind. Very dreamy, very innovative for the time, and it just flows beautifully. For everyone that doesn't recognize this as one of the best records ever, you are mad. You can dislike it, but you can't deny its greatness. This is a 5 star record, no doubt. Oh yeah, and again, of course, fuck Roger Waters.

Rated 10/10
One of the easiest rankings on this list (even if it isn’t their best album).

Wait ..what? I get to listen to Dark Side of the Moon? 🌙 #albumsky #musicsky

Perfecte plaat.
