Meh...maybe if you understand the lyrics it would hit differently, but this was really lame. So tame/unimaginative I've heard AI tunes better. 1/5

I liked it, but I like Hardcore (especially more modern stuff). That said, this was just avg. as far as hardcore goes. 2.5/5

Jazz...basically like all other piano jazz. 3/5

Not the biggest QOTSA fan, but this album definitely has some high points that are worth listening to. 3.5/5

Zappa just isn't for me. This is no different. 2/5
Hadn't heard of this one before...seems like it was very regionalized to the UK at the time. Still was a fun (if not samey) listen. 3.5/5

I forgot to write this right after the listen...and 5 days later I barely remember anything about it. Atmospheric background meh music. 2/5

This one...the highs are certainly high, but I do think it suffers from a little to much filler. Defintely an important album in terms of defining a genre. 3.5/5

Basically like any other Mountain Goats album...which isn't a bad thing. 3.5/5

I had given the gecs a few tries before with limited success, but this listen was a little bit more interesting. Honestly pretty catchy at times. 3.5/5

Pretty much like every other jazz album of this era (at leas to my untrained ear). Not necessarily a bad thing...but non of these albums really mean much to me. 3/5

Appreciate Dolly. Love Bluegrass. Solid album. 3.5/5

If there was one thing I thought this list didn't need more of, it was doom/dark metal...BUT...I actually liked this one. Definitely more hard shoegaze. Maybe has more in common with Low than the Cannibal Corpses of the world. 3.5/5
Rated 4/10
I think it is just a coincidence, but it does seem all indie from NY in this era always falls flat for me. Yeasayer is no different. 2.5/5

New one to me...fun, easy going listen. 3/5

As someone who was really into pop punk before Blink even hit the scene, I always felt they were a knock-off, less interesting version of the Lookout! bands I was listening to at the time. Still feel that way. Barker's drumming is outstanding, but the rest I could do without. 2.5/5
It wasn't bad. Also wasn't memorable in the least. 2.5/5
Rated 8/10
Was really surprised by the one. Lots of ground and genres covered, and all done fairly well, I got New Order at times, jam band at others... As someone who is completely lyric agnostic it worked that I couldn't understand a thing. 3.5/5
Rated 8/10
Wow...talk about a hidden gem. No exposure to Nujabes at all, but the production on this one is steller. Just a great feel beginning to end. 4.5/5

Really enjoy IDLES. This album has popped up for me from time to time and really resonates. 4.5/5
