Rated 4/10

Better than his last album on this list (Rock Bottom), but still super abrasive and weird. Not sure why 1 of his albums are on this list, let alone 2. Blues in Bob Minor actually borders on being classified as a song, unlike most of the rest of his catalog.

Favourite songs: Blues in Bob Minor, A Sunday in Madrid, Heaps of Sheeps

Least favourite songs: The Duchess, Alien

Not sure what to call this.... Hillbilly jazz maybe? Slow, and ethereal. Really have to be in the right frame of mind to enjoy it.

Favourite songs: Walking After Midnight, Blue Moon Revisited (Song For Elvis), To Love Is To Bury, Misguided Angel, Mining for Gold

Least favourite songs: I Don't Get It

A truly painful listening experience.

High energy live show from a mediocre glam rock band from the 70's. Nothing about this was bad, but a few awesome songs does not a good album make.

Favourite songs: Surrender, I Want You To Want Me, Ain't That A Shame, Hello There

Least favourite songs: Need Your Love

This band features Julian Cope's weirdness in full display (already rated a Cope album, Peggy Suicide). This is just another neo-psychadelic britpop/new wave album. Nothing interesting here that would separate it from the hordes of other britpop shit to frequent this list. Once the song Kilimanjaro hits, the rest of the album from this point forward is insufferable garbage. The rest of the album to this point was at least tolerable.

Favourite songs: Reward, Second Head, Ha Ha I'm Drowning, Went Crazy

Least favourite songs: Kilimanjaro, Sleeping Gas, Books, Strange House in the Snow, Use Me

Not great. Indie/90's alt rock mixed with fucking shoegaze.... Boring and unenthusiastic. Like, look at the dicks on the album cover.... If ya don't wanna make music, just don't ffs.... Don't moan and shuffle about staring at the ground while playing lackluster trash. Looks like the cover to a shitty vampire movie.

Favourite songs: This is Music, A Northern Soul

Least favourite songs: On Your Own, Brainstorm Interlude, Drive You Home, Stormy Clouds, (Reprise)

Not his best. Kind of dry and same-y.

Favourite songs: Astral Weeks, Cyprus Avenue, Madame George

Least favourite songs: Beside You

I could never get into QOTSA. I think it's because there isn't much in the way of talent there. If ya listen, they just wail out the same fuzzy power chords. Super simple songs. I can't really nail down why they never hit with me, but they didn't. I had a real hard time listening to this one. Took me all day, because I just don't care. They are just so.... Boring. Also, the album cover gives me the heeby jeebies for some reason.

Favourite songs: Mexicola, If Only, Avon, How to Handle a Rope (A Lesson in the Lariat)

Least favourite songs: Hispanic Impressions, Spiders and Vinegaroons, I Was a Teenage Hand Model, These Aren't the Droids You're Looking For

Generic '00s hip hop/R&B. Nothing to write home about, but not terrible. I enjoyed the hip hop tracks much more than the shitty 00's Mariah Carey-esque R&B.

Favourite songs: Get Up Stand Up, Krazy Krush, Put Him Out, It Takes More, Sick 'n' Tired

Least favourite songs: A Lil Deeper, All I Ever, Gotta Let U Know, Brother

Some interesting things going on in this record. Firstly, the fact that it was released in 1966. These guys were at the head of the punk movement for sure. Fast and rough. Sounds like The Stooges but 2 years earlier. It's like someone took speed then played Velvet Underground songs. Dude simply abuses the shit out of his keyboard. Maybe not the best music I've ever heard, but this was definately at the heart of the punk movement. Given that tidbit of information, it's really solid!

Favourite songs: Drunken Maria, Complication, Boys Are Boys and Girls Are Choice, We Do Wie Du

Least favourite songs: Blast Off!

That was a really solid album! Really solid reggae! Politically loaded as most reggae is. Way ahead of its time considering it came out in '75. I enjoyed it so much, that I listened to more Burning Spear stuff after finishing the album.

Favourite songs: Marcus Garvey, Old Marcus Garvey, Slavery Days, Jordan River, "Red, Gold and Green", Give Me, Resting Place

Least favourite songs: Tradition

Post hardcore/noise rock/indie. Dudes got a real raspy voice, and the band has two bassists, so the music hammers ya in the chest if nothing else. Some songs are absolutely horrible, but most of the album is great. One of the founders came from that band Fugazi apparently. The method of singing (basically shoving the microphone in his mouth and screaming into it) leaves a bit to be desired, but there are some interesting concepts on this album. I quite enjoyed it

Favourite songs: Rockets Are Red, 7 Seas, In Like Flynn, Bullet Proof Cupid, Learned It, Billy's One Stop

Least favourite songs: Satin Down, Bughouse

I'm having a hard time with this 50 Cent album. 1hr 15 mins of him rapping about gangs, guns, hoes, and getting his bird sucked. I really don't care about any of that. Gangsta rap is the worst. A far cry from the solid rap of the 80's/early 90's. Every second word is the N-word.... Seems excessive and unnecessary. This album is.... fine I suppose.

Favourite songs: P.I.M.P., Wanksta, In Da Club, Patiently Waiting, If I Can't, Gotta Make It To Heaven

Least favourite songs: Poor Lil Rich
