The sum is somehow less than the parts. I like everyone involved with this album, but it feels like a bunch of b-sides. Not bad, just not memorable.

Mixed bag on this one. A couple of the instrumental-only tracks are really solid. Any track with singing suffers though. Too bad Clapton is so unlikeable as a human being, he really shreds.

Not really a fan of concept albums, but there is some great work on this one. The Who is an all-time great band.

Not sure I had ever listened to this one beyond the singles. Great sound all the way through. Excellent album art too.
Amazing that American Girl is buried as the last track.

Excellent songwriting. Sad that he died young.

Strong start from the first couple tracks, but it lost me after that. This should have been edited down to 10 tracks, max.

Fantastic album. Hard to believe that this album cover was considered taboo back in 2001, as well as NYC Cops.

Great album with several hits. Lots of variety and creativity. Nice Kate Bush cameo on this one too.
EW&F is one of the great American bands. The ballads bring this down a notch, but still pretty fun.

What a voice. Makes you sad to think about what might have been. Love Is A Losing Game is worth five stars by itself.
Interesting listen, but not really my style. It is nice to hear something from outside the US and UK.

One of my all time favorites. Fantastic vibe all the way through.

Music at my house growing up was mostly classical music, show tunes and hymns. My folks had very little interest in pop, R and B, jazz or really any popular music. However, this one somehow broke through to my father's ear, and it was on rotation for years. This might have been the first time my 6 year old brain got a taste that there was more out there musically. I'll always have a soft spot for it.

Neil is great, but there are simply too many of his albums on this list.

Man, I hope we get Kanye back someday. This isn't my favorite of his, but definitely has some hits.

It's a fun sound, but gets tiresome after a while. Probably best heard as the occasional single on the radio.

Masterpiece. One of my all-time favorites.

I had this when it was new. Still love it.

Hard to understand why this one is on here. Nothing particularly remarkable about it.
