Live at Witch Trials is one of my very few (as of now) 1-star albums, so I was pleasantly surprised with this one

not what I'd expected, but not in a good way
Rated 4/10
it's actually a 3 but I'm deducting one star for the title of "2 Kool 2 Be 4-Gotten"
Rated 10/10
in my top 5 easiest 5-star ratings so far

I knew Hayes was cool, but MAN, this is an incredible album. Every song was on par with Chocolate Salty Balls and that says a lot.
Rated 4/10
I didn't necessarily find it as unlistenable or annoying as most of my 2-star albums are, but too unique for my taste. I do appreciate parts of the songs, just not the final product, and the grating vocals were too much.
Rated 6/10
unfortunately this is a pre-Rubber Soul album, which means I'm not as fond of it as I feel I should be
Rated 6/10
conceptually, it's an interesting album. however, I often found myself digging the individual samples more than the final product.
Rated 10/10
yeah, the lyrics are pretentious beatnik bullshit (par for the course when we talk about this band), but I'll be damned if this album doesn't sound amazing

"Bed Bug Blues"? People really were singing about anything and everything back then
Rated 4/10
I just do not connect with this band. Good instrumentals, but I'm not a fan of either the lyrics or the vocals.
