Big nostalgia on this one. The first 4 tracks absolutely took over the world. The back half is much more of a mixed affair. Paper Gangster is another highlight. Brown Eyes is just an odd duck in this track listing. and Summerboy is even further afield. Discoheaven is so odd! God 2008 was just a fever dream.

You Don't Know How It Feels is the ultimate loser slacker anthem, and i mean that in praise. There is something so liberating in how You Wreck Me sounds. The end of the albums is weaker, House In The Woods is a little too self indulgent for me.

Loved the musical. This is the cool origin story of that. Still has that sort of ramshackle Nawlins sound on Way Down Hadestown, and definitely has more boogie. Hey Little Songbird is somehow more creepy. Wait For Me always makes me cry, this version is no exception, especially with the voice of Bon Hiver fitting perfectly into the context of the song.

Yesterday was a blur and this album didnt get the fair shake it deserved, but freaking love tool.

The Hollows is a stupid story song. God this is the softest white boy rap shit. I am also asking myself WHY?

I remember this album hitting the US like a nuclear bomb. totally fit the moment. A high watermark and prophets call to a new band to hold the standard of grand prog and arena rock. Citizen Erased is so fucking good and Bellamy's voice is HAUNTING!

An ambient album! Cool, more an EP than an album, but very soothing and thoughtfully constructed. Sort of a blur for me though.
