2 hour experimental rock noise album. definitely gives Nick Cave vibes on the second track. I did not appreciate the end of A Little God In My Hands just being a blaring sine wave for 30 seconds. This album sucks. Its like a dumber Tool record, but with the intricacy replaced with noise walls. This was a big wall of stupid self indulgent crap.

Standard english blues with a lot of southern heavy influence. Cool quoting of While My Guitar Gently Weeps on A Year. Spirited rendition of Roadhouse Blues.

This is not the vibe for today. Holy Moses Steinbolt is grating. This is what it sounds like when a bunch of modems are let loose in a jazz library and they just go to town on each other. An Arched Pathway is so abrasive in sections.

This album is a masterwork. Beyonce's rhythmic games on ALIEN SUPERSTAR is amazing and CUFF IT is a bop. PURE/HONEY is also rad.

Some of the guest spots are a little understated, like Oil featuring Stevie Nicks. Tarantula is a bright spot for me. Skinny Ape is an odd sounding song. I liked it but not my favorite Gorillaz album.

The list giveth and the list taketh. fuck man this era was the bane of my existence. The piano is straight from the can, and god damnit can they not use "backstreet's back" for a single song? This is like eating cilantro when all you taste is soap.
