2112Rush

Rated 6/10

A-side has a bit too much going on but I like the more laid back b-side.

Rated 8/10

Confused by the low ratings here, do people just not like albums with personality? Like this is a big band style record with a twisted frontman, don't really understand what more you could want

This is truly fantastic, one of those records where there's something new around every corner, like this has to be the only album ever to open on a disco track and close on a hardcore punk track. Has so much personality and also a very solid band performance

A couple great tracks here and they do some of the better blues/R&B covers from this generation of Brits, excellent drumming throughout. Don't think it clicks as a full record for me but can't fault it

Excellent excellent record, has 1 or 2 weaker tracks that stopped me from going 5 initially but definitely going to revisit this one

Really tricky album to rate, it's moving but it's ultimately not very enjoyable to listen to, more of a meditation if anything. I'm going the perfect midpoint which is 5/10 which is a 2 here

Pretty fascinated by this one and what they were going for, has a folky country feel but then gets increasingly psychedelic and strange as it goes on. Not all for me but I did enjoy it throughout

Queen IIQueen

Rated 6/10

I'm a big fan of the later queen albums but for the most part this doesn't do much for me. I do adore Seven Seas of Rhye and the are 1 or 2 other moments that I found interesting but this is a weak 3 for me

Being ThereWilco

Rated 6/10

One of those bands I admire and wanna get more into but not fully with it yet, double album probably not helpful for that but still a bunch of great tracks on here

The ChronicDr. Dre

Rated 6/10

Any album with beats this good has to get a 3* plus I don't think the lyrics are as offensive as some go on about. A couple great tracks here but it's definitely limited but Dr Dre not being a particularly strong rapper, it's really all in the beats here.

Never listened to this before the challenge somehow and wow what a mistake. This is light and airy dream pop, pulls from a few other places as well. Norway, Zebra, Silver Soul, Used to Be, 10 Mile Stereo are all killer tracks. Gotta be a 4
