Enjoyed the quieter parts more than the roaring.

From this cover, I guessed this was going to be complete shit, and Australian. I was right on one of those things.

Every track sounded like that fucking Jet2 Holiday song, fuck that shit.

Loved pop music of this era, but I also really like music in languages that I don't understand, because I don't get distracted by the words. So this was a win/win. The production is immense as well.

Imagine if Oasis had something to sing about.

Just right.

I didn't know Status Quo were good.
Rated 4/10
Wishy-washy chill that admittedly did get a bit more interesting towards the end.
All a bit too clever for its own good, until "The Past Is a Grotesque Animal," which I thought was a cover of a song by Wire or Magazine. And then it goes back to being a bit too clever for its own good.

Short, sharp, and sweet.

I like her a lot, but I'm not sure if this really works? It feels like it's made by a 13-year-old girl who's just discovered Urban Dictionary. Unconvincing.
Rated 6/10
Remarkable if only for the sheer number of singles this album generated.

Those 80s synths still sound so good, but I think I prefer them when they started sounding evil.
Rated 4/10
I don't know, they clearly know how to structure a song and progress chords and stuff, but lyrically it feels a bit A-level, a bit Muse.

Hits the spot. Very post-Rage with a bit of At The Drive-In thrown in. A lot of fun.

Really liked this, kind of equal parts The Cult and Echo and the Bunnymen, but also its own semi-goth-rock thing.
Rated 8/10
Smooth but also kind of chunky, like vomit (complimentary).
Rated 8/10
This was great. I still have no idea where they're from though.

Probably the first western album I've heard with a really definite K/J-pop influence. No bad thing at all.
Roger Waters is one of the few men who's become more attractive as he's aged. Unfortunately his music seems to have gotten worse.
