I mean... soooo good. Not just meaningful, but purposeful and rekindled a rap style that was as funky as George Clinton and as smooth as Mel Torme. I could listen to AD all day.

Absolutely iconic and genre defining 70s rock album.

Just great. The beats were fresh and timeless at the same time while picking up great influence from their features. One of those albums that my grandkids will listen to and respect.

Okay. Not their best work - a little too similar across the board to each other and other music at the time.

Okay culturally. Seemed more of a lesson than an artistic piece to be enjoyed.
Classic 1970s funk and soul. Full of strife and hope. You can hear the future of Vandross, D'Angelo, many others through it.
Love Love Love - didn't even have to listen. Just solid and experimental and just different enough. Will be influencing others for decades from subject matter and roots through the music.
Meh... energetic and fun - would be good live, but nothing I'd need to listen to again.

good and interesting statement in an era that could absorb and use it. not a musically excellent album, but deserves attention.

Just okay. Salisbury Hill is a classic and masterpiece, but the rest almost feel like he's trying too hard to find himself.

Not the best. Some interesting rhythms.

She's cool and this is a raw album with some great pieces, but the title is apropos - just so anti-snooty that it's snooty.

More fun than great, but listenable and influential!

Solid, but just too slow in the middle without mind-altering drugs to carry it...

Not bad!

really good and different. pushed envelopes that New Order and others didn't without making it totally unrelatable.

Cool. Definitely heralded in an interesting style which likely impacted pop for years. Mix of other influences, but really active and interesting take on the moody and breathy vocals.
Yeah - Very PE
