Man... this is such a hard cacophony of sound. So much talent and such great playing, just put together in a crazy chaotic hard core way. Not sure I could listen to it again, but glad I did. Truly exploring the possible.

Sounds of my youth. I was a little late to the game, but this was a staple. Not my favorite album, but just solid post punk alternative 80s greatness.

Enjoyable. Alt without being whiny. Some decent rock. Worth mixing in to the early 200's playlist.

Not as good as I remembered it. A lot of just okay songs with the couple bangers that everyone knows.

Kinda off-beat and interesting. I'd listen again. 3.

Not unlistenable, but just nothing I found particularly good. Style is similar to an E40 and ODB combination. Some beats are nice and intricate, but just not a lot of soul/uniqueness. 2.

Nice in between alt rock with some good tunes and an original feel. I don't know that I would seek them out or build a play list around them, but listenable.

A few solid single woman anthems and I am here for it! Throw back to En Vogue, the Supremes, the Rondelles... a few too many fillers toward the end, but a game changing album. 4.

Decent rock for a guy who is best known for his Disney soundtrack additions. Not groundbreaking, but certainly enjoyable to listen to. 3.
I can handle the Byrds, but this is just not for me. Kinda cool that it blends the country and rock/pop genres, but I just have no love for the sound or musicality of it. Feels like a poorly done rip off of both instead of a marriage. 2.

Like others, I wasn't looking forward to this when I read it, but, man, it was a great time. I had forgotten how good the rocking anarchist rage felt. Musicality aside, it is an exercise in early-Gen X-no fucks to give angst and I'm here for it. 4.

About as good as I can go with Leonard Cohen. Somewhat enjoyable, but not my favorite and I honestly think he's overrated. 3.

Over cooked and over produced. Love Tina, but this feels like her talent being somewhat exploited like a lot of the other early 80s pop. and 1960s/70s artist reboots. 3
Crazy good. authentic and raw in places, balanced and sure in others. Stands up well today as love songs and rock n roll blues. 4+

Just a legend. All the feels and a timestamp of the 70's that still resonates today. 4.

Decidedly NOT hardcore. I mean, good stuff, but does Pulp REALLY need to be on this list twice? No. 2+
A different type of music at the right time. Listenable. 3+

Honestly better than I thought it would be. We all know American Pie and most know Vincent, but the rest was both listenable and relatable - if a little depressing. 3+

70's rock not yet in the 70s. great album and writing. Influences from rock/pop/jazz/psychedelic. Really well done. 4.

Interesting and inventive schemes and rhythms. Not as good as some other albums, but very solid. 3+
