Likely one of the best albums ever. I'm not even a huge fan overall, but even the worst songs on this album are creative and genre-defining. Songwriting, arranging, guitar, drums, and keyboards. All come together here like almost nowhere else.

This was pretty outstanding. Jazz, funk, beats and tracks that would be the foundation of rap. All done in 1973? Just amazing. 4 for sure.

I love that this exists and was able to provide influence all the way through to 2025. But, it's just not my favorite - style or sound. 2

Kind of a Doors knockoff, but decent in it's own right with some straight ahead rock and some psychedelic undertones. Probably almost accidentally punk... 3

This seems like a pretty deep cut... I may have heard some of their stuff from the earlier albums, but this seems kinda pseudo-psychadelic and just not an enjoyable listen. Not bad per-se, and probably representative of the time as a precursor to the Byrds and others, but not good, either.

How can an album be this good and STILL be overrated? I want to find the groundbreaking hook here, but I can't. It's a great album. I could listen to it back to back and still enjoy it and even find new things, but it's not a 5. It's a combination of Sashing Pumpkins, Morrissey, and Oasis. AND it's not even their best album.

I mean... good-ish. It's an interesting moment in time and decently done. Felt a little like she was trying to capture something - a feeling and a persona in the late 90's club scene.

I tend to think that this was just a bit of an overreach after two other albums in the same year. Three of these are just classics in every sense. Another couple are musically and performance strong, but the drop off feels pretty bad. That close to one of the best albums of all time. 4/5
