Interesting for sure. Paper Planes papers over some cracks of some dud songs though.

It's not bad. It's not interesting either. It's no harm to listen to. It's got very nice vocals!

Rest of the album is ok. But I think One Day Like This is such a great composition that really speaks to me, this bumps it up a star.

Superb, raw vocals. Incredible production and good variety between the songs. Problematic lyrics from the get go. A very influential album by an influential artist.
Ended up enjoying it more than I thought I would. Nice to have some musical variety as well.

It's nice. It's not great.

Wait a minute. This is rock and/or roll.
Rated 4/10
Meh. Difficult to listen to at times.
Rated 10/10
Great songs played by incredible musicians, with the best production you can get. Easy 5.
Brilliant, emotive voice. Some gems in here.

Very drab in deed. Nothing much nice to say at all.
Rated 6/10
It was fine.
Found myself nodding along at times, the funky stuff in particular is really well produced and fun to listen to.
The rest, is ok.
Let's leave it at that.

Going to give it a 3. Definitely wasn't in the appropriate listening setting for this album but did find myself listening which is impressive in itself.

Expecting a lot more from an album with Tiny Dancer as an opener. It was fine but some of the songs do plod along. I liked the one with the mandolin as him doing something quite different.
Rated 6/10
Meh. Not as strong as his later material and I just found myself a bit bored.
His voice hasn't really developed into it's full potential yet either.
Important, but not great.
Rated 4/10
Meh. Track 1 doesn't save it. Not enjoyable overall.
Rated 6/10
It was fine. Very fine at moments, but didn't really get hit big in the feels like I thought I was going to.

Loved it. Kept on listening for the bonus tracks and then some extra radio tracks.
Masters of their craft. Folk with a gritty edge.
