The album started pretty decent and then the end of the first song assaulted me with a tribute to Yoko Ono, which I did not appreciate. Newspaper was alright

I wonder how well this album would've been received had Bowie not died as it released. It feels like the music and the vocals were recorded without either party knowing what the other was doing. The only well recorded song is Lazarus
Somehow I've never listened to Bob Dylan sing before now. I've heard plenty of covers of his songs. I know he's a phenomenal writer. But I've never heard his voice. I've been told by people that have seen him live recently and they've commented on how awful he sounds NOW.... I've never known how awful he sounded 60 years ago. Wtf??? Why did anyone bother listening to this guy? Did anybody ever sit him down and say, "Bobby, just stick to writing songs"???? And who the hell gave him a harmonica??? I just listened to muddy waters and the harmonica on that album was crisp, clean, and smoking. This was trash

This sounds like music I'd end up making because it lacks any semblance of talent and is pure nonsensical noise. Wtf is this doing on this list?
Rated 4/10
There were a couple brief moments where a song would start to trend towards being not completely awful. Or maybe it was when I just couldn't be bothered to pay attention

Filthy, grimey, and absolutely phenomenal album. Jethro Tull was my inspiration for learning to play the flute as a kid
Rated 4/10
Genuinely shocked at how uninspired this album was
Rated 10/10
One of the best debut albums by a rap artist
Rated 6/10
I'm not knowledgeable in edm, electronic / dance music. Parts of the album were kinda annoying bit otherwise seemed ok
Rated 8/10
Iconic album. However while the music is phenomenal, what set this album apart from everything else was the music videos. The album would not be as highly regarded aa it is were it not for the videos and dance choreography that MJ brought to the table
Rated 4/10
Shout out to the carpenters for writing half the songs that i hear whenever I walk through a retail department store
Rated 6/10
I expected a more wild or exotic album from how absolutely ludicrous and pretentious the band describes themselves. The album was alright but nothing special. Prog rock influence but eh
Rated 4/10
Started off pretty solid but towards the end I was repeatedly looking to see how much longer I had to endure

Definition of boredom
Rated 4/10
Truly a painful and confusing listen. I don't understand what I just listened to and I'm not referring to the German lyrics. Even reading about the album and it's origins did not help to make this an easier or at least more understanding experience. Some songs were somewhat enjoyable bit honestly a 1.5 star album

Why?

Too heavy on the synth, gaddy has one of the worst voices to ever ruin a microphone
Rated 4/10
A little bit of REM here and there is great but listening to a full album of a monotonous voice is a little bit much
Rated 2/10
If paint drying had theme music, this album would be it
