This is so hard to rate. I don't even know if it's music. But I think it should be on the list.

I can't tell if the band is brilliant or if they're terrible or even if they're playing the same song as the other players. And the Captain sings on top of the sometimes nonsensical music a completely different song. Yet it sometimes really works.

Based on a rating scale that I've done, I think I have to go with "it's fine." I may listen to it again someday, and I think it's important. But I don't think I enjoyed it much.

It's fine. It sort of sounds like what I expect everything in a city in England would sound like in the mid 90s. Couple of good songs but the whole album is a bit much.

I really didn't need a third Smiths album on this list. I got everything I needed from Meat is Murder and The Queen is Dead.

This isn't as good as Queen is Dead and I doubt I would choose to listen to this one if I was listening to The Smiths.

I enjoyed this. A couple of classic songs but the whole album works.

I didn't know I liked Neil Young as much as I do before doing this whole thing!

This album is on of the defining albums of my youth. Without this album, I don't listen to half of what I consider my favorite music now.

I will gladly listen to this one anytime, anywhere. Also contains one of the best song for blasting out loud while driving around idiots of all time.

Was there a more impactful album on the landscape of music, especially in the 90s? Changed the entire conversation.

It also helps that it's an amazing album. Every song is great, the pure energy and angst, the raw emotion dripping from every line.

I have listened to this album more times than I can possibly count and I don't see that trend changing anytime in my life.

I enjoyed listening to this one. Sort of like a Joy Division but not quite as bleak. Or as good.

It's fine. A little too self-indulgent for me. My biggest problem with most prog rock is the same problem I have with jam bands, I forget what song I'm listening to by the time they finally get to the end of it. But it's technically very good, and some of the songs were interesting, if a little long.

I didn't like this one as much as Back to Black. It's fine, but not something I'll put on again.

Surprising album. It’s very funny, not in a joke album way but I still laughed a few times. I also like his voice. A few of the songs in the middle got a little same-same but overall I really enjoyed it.

I don't like this one as much as the debut S/T album. It's still very good, and the popular songs are popular for a reason, they're great. This album is a lot more blues forward which isn't a bad thing. It's good, but it's not great.

This is an easy 5. One of the best "college radio" albums of all time. The loud-quiet-loud dynamic is super present, with awesome hooks. And I love how they can be super punk and super pop (well as pop as a band like The Pixies can be) on the same album.

Amazing album.
