Just didn’t get into it at any point.

New to me and a great album

The opposite of front loading an album.

Another album I don’t have a huge amount to say about. It’s kinda fun.
I don’t think I can give this one star. It’s the least shit of the 2000 nu metal. It doesn’t seem to take itself too seriously and it made me laugh a couple of times (probably not in the way they intended).
Don’t get me wrong. It’s really not good. But it’s far from the worst thing I’ve listened to on the list.

Really enjoyed this. Shocked at how different it was. Starts to be an electronic ambient album in parts. Which given its age is incredible.
Rated 6/10
It really does sound like a demo now listening to it. Just a high production demo. Some interesting bits and ideas on here. But a bit all over the place.
Rated 6/10
A good album, even if it’s not one of my favourite led zeppelin albums. Borderline 4 stars.

It’s just not Rumors is it? But then what is. As usual probably would get another star if it wasn’t a double album.
Rated 2/10
My least favourite genre from this process is nu metal. Although the sound and production is different. I think this album is structurally a nu metal album before they had the nu metal sound available. Which explains why I really didn’t enjoy it at all.
I had this thought about halfway through the album. Then it just kept on going. I’m adding a new qualifying for 1 star. “Makes me question why I’m doing this list”
Rated 6/10
I’ve heard a fair number of these songs before. I enjoyed it much more than I thoughts would when I first saw the title and artwork. But I don’t think realistically I’ll be coming back to it.
Rated 6/10
Enjoyed it enough but felt all a bit aimless.

Is there a bigger change between this and rubber soul the year after? It’s not a bad album and there are some hints at some of the stuff to come but otherwise it’s not a particularly great album.
Rated 2/10
A hard listen, feels like he really just wanted to write a broadway show.
I give albums I don’t like 2 stars. I give albums that I don’t understand why anyone would like it 1 star. This was a borderline. So if someone who does like it can explain why I might revise this.
Rated 4/10
Incredibly weird. It might be good but I’d need to listen to it a bunch more times and I really can’t be bothered.
Rated 4/10
There’s a couple of REM albums I like way more when I listen to them that I do when I think about them if that makes sense. This one doesn’t have that effect on me.
Rated 8/10
A good album even if it sounds like it was hard work getting there.
I think on another day this would have wound me up and got a lower score. But it worked for me today. Even if it’s still too long.
I liked this a lot even though it was quite different to what I expected from captain beefheart.

Seemingly all Elton’s best songs are on this album. Which is about half of it. The rest I don’t particularly like.
