Knights in brown and denim . Country rock Americana . Well the Canadian version of that .

Okay but never great . Too many songs sound the same, even with different singers. Can we talk about how some of the songs are just terrible.

Pity the album does not live up to the cover . Sadly Dylan’s only contribution to this

Prog rock meets show tunes . I know it’s well done but I just find it dull

Sweeping the gamut from amazing to boring while always being way to Ernest and deep for its own good. And that’s just the first song.

Would be 3 stars if it was not so long and over-bloated . A trim single album would be almost good

Amateurish, avant-garde punk that is surprisingly hard to rate as it is It’s easy to listen to. The Country-infused punk makes for an interesting combination.

I’m not sure what’s more surprising: how much I enjoyed this, or how an album I’d never heard of has (rightly) found its way onto so many best-of-the-80s lists. Some tracks tread perilously close to sounding like Benny Hill backing music, but overall, it’s a thoroughly enjoyable listen.

Johnny cash walks the line between honky tonk and novelty and comes out on the right side of the bars … just

Great live album that has a rawkus crowd and some good interplay

Not sure I’ll be as forgiving on the next album of his from a prison - which is a pity as it s probably the better album

ElectricThe Cult

Rated 8/10

Just like Bob Dylan going “Electric”was seen by some as a sell out.

To the patchouli army from Planet X ( the Liverpool nightclub not the planet) switching from goth to hard rock is bad enough let alone actually being commercial successful and good at it.

I like both iterations of the cult although this album does have some real filler songs - like Electric Ocean and most surprisingly is a prosaic cover of born to be wild
