ArularM.I.A.

Rated 2/10

What a load of rubbish. I vaguely remember this album being recommended in a magazine I used to read back then. I bought it and wasted my money. Even 20 years later, the album is still rubbish. 1/5

There was a lot of hype surrounding the album when it was released. I couldn't really get into it at the time and didn't feel like trying. I was familiar with the song Chan Chan, but didn't associate it with the band. Now I've listened to the album in its entirety for the first time and found it really interesting. It's not the kind of music I listen to all the time, but it's great fun to listen to now and then. 4/5

So now we come to the third Byrds album on the list. The song Mr. Tamborine Man brings back memories of a time when I was still interested in hippie culture and the girls that went with it. That was a long time ago, and the girls are no longer what they used to be. Beyond that, I couldn't care less about the album. I hope this was the last album by this overrated band on the list. 2/5

What a load of rubbish. I like both electronica and drum & bass, which is why I was interested in the album. It got on my nerves right from the first track. It's more hip-hop than anything else. It didn't get any better. I gave up in exasperation during the third track. Yet another album I can die without regret without having heard it. 2/5

A great album. I first became aware of Nick Cave with the song "Where the Wild Roses Grow." I was also familiar with the duet with PJ Harvey in "Henry Lee." I had heard the album, but didn't appreciate it. That has now changed. The album is one of my favorites. 5/5

A few months ago, I went to a Queens concert. It was fun. I wasn't familiar with their debut album, so I was curious. Well, if I had only heard that album, I wouldn't have paid any further attention to the band. Then I would have missed out on something. Fortunately, things turned out differently. 3/5

Black MetalVenom

Rated 4/10

It wasn't as bad as I had feared. I couldn't listen to it all the way through because I'm not into that genre. Some of the music reminded me of old gothic bands I used to listen to in my youth. Nowadays, I find it all pretty boring. Still, I listened to more of the album than I thought I would. 2/5

I was done with this hip-hop crap after just a few moments. What a bunch of pussies. Every time I hear messed-up albums from other genres on this list, I think maybe hip-hop isn't so bad after all. And then I get an album like this that confirms, yes, hip-hop really is shit. 1/5

HarvestNeil Young

Rated 10/10

So here's the sixth Neil Young album on the list. After reviewing the previous five, I have to say that I really like this one. I had this album back in my youth. After a long time, I remembered it again and really enjoyed it. 5/5

My younger brother used to be a big fan of Run-DMC. I found one or two tracks quite interesting too. I couldn't find any of that on today's album. It's just hip-hop. I still can't get into it. 1/5

I discovered Nine Inch Nails through the soundtrack to Quake. I've been a fan ever since. This album represents a milestone in the history of NIN and Trent Reznor. Unfortunately, I can't enjoy it in all its glory today. But A Warm Place and Hurt are always good. Nevertheless, this album is one of my favorites. 5/5

The album is exactly what its genre classification promises: post-punk and new wave. Perhaps the album was important in its day, but looking back, there are clearly better albums in these genres. Against this backdrop, this album was only moderately interesting. 3/5

I was looking forward to Hotel California. That song was a big hit back in my day. I found the next song on the album disappointingly boring. After that, it was great again, only to fade away afterwards. Overall, there were too many downs compared to the few ups. I should remember the ups, but not the album as a whole. 3/5

The name of the band sounded familiar. But maybe I'm confusing it with the title of a song by another band. In any case, I had high expectations. Unfortunately, the album didn't live up to them. It was okay, but I don't feel compelled to listen to it again. I found the pop music a bit boring. 3/5

An iconic and magnificent album, but one that I never quite got into. Against the backdrop of the film adaptation of Christiane F., Ir Kinder vom Bahnhof Zoo, some of the tracks were part of my constant playlist during my youth. I still can't get into a few of the other tracks. 4/5

A great album. King Crimson wrote prototypical pieces for many successful successors. Unfortunately, I discovered the band late, but then I was thrilled. I liked this album so much that I even enjoyed listening to the recording session extracts that were included on my version of the album. 5/5

When I first encountered Fatboy Slim, I found the music a bit too intense, but still quite funny. It was only when I got to really dance to it at a party that I became a fan. I'm also a fan of the debut album. I can't listen to it all the time, but every now and then it's great. 4/5

Rated 2/10

It may be that this is a really great debut album. And it's certainly very brave to bombard listeners with wet and sticky sex dreams. I found the lyrics distasteful and didn't like the music or the vocals. I stopped after three tracks and won't be listening to it again. 1/5
