Kid ARadiohead

Rated 6/10

I was really looking forward to this album. Apparently, I had never listened to it in its entirety before. Now I was a little disappointed. I had expected more. I really liked one track, two others were quite good. I found one track difficult to listen to. No, I don't like this album by a band that I otherwise love. Too bad. 3/5

Lost SoulsDoves

Rated 8/10

I had already heard music by the Doves and had fond memories of it. This album didn't immediately sweep me off my feet, but it did pique my interest. I'll give it more attention and listen to it again. 4/5

The band's second album in this project within a few days. I hope that's it now. I did like this album better than the previous one. I stopped listening to one track because it started to get on my nerves. I won't be listening to this album again anytime soon. 3/5

I wasn't familiar with David Gray or the album White Ladder before. At the beginning and well over halfway through the album, I still thought the music might be quite interesting. In the end, however, boredom prevailed. The album is okay. But I probably won't listen to it again. 3/5

I thought I had heard the band before, probably because I had read about them somewhere. I don't need to hear any more from them. That one album was enough. I liked the beginning moderately, but towards the end the music got on my nerves so much that I stopped listening prematurely. 2/5

I came into contact with Joy Division very late in life. I only stumbled across them in my late gothic phase towards the end of the 90s. That's when I heard the album for the first time. I didn't think it was that old. In the meantime, I've left gothic behind me. And so, as I've now realized, the music doesn't mean much to me anymore. It's interesting what you learn about yourself in the course of this project. 3/5

By the fourth track, John Martyn's voice was getting on my nerves so much that I stopped listening to the album. I don't think we're going to be friends. 2/5

I am familiar with the name Echo And The Bunnymen and have fond memories of it. But that must have been a long time ago. The music is typical of the 80s sound. It wasn't outstanding, and I had almost forgotten it, and rightly so. The album wasn't annoying, but it wasn't inspiring either. 3/5

Slayed?Slade

Rated 6/10

This brings back memories of my youth. I had completely forgotten about Slade. This music reminds me of my sultry and exciting teenage parties in the dark, musty basements of friends. Although the music of my early youth still influences my listening habits today in many ways, I could easily do without Slade. But because of the memories, I enjoyed listening to the album. 3/5

AqualungJethro Tull

Rated 10/10

Yes, this album definitely had to be on the list. I don't even need to listen to it to be able to judge it. I've been listening to it over and over again since my youth. At first, it was just the song Lokomotive Breath that regularly created a good atmosphere at parties. Later, however, I also became aware of the quality of the other songs. 5/5

I've never heard of TWOD or this album. An interesting album. Some of the music reminded me of Pink Floyd, but also of REM or U2. The first impression is good, but not really inspiring. I will listen to it again. 4/5

PlayMoby

Rated 10/10

It's easy for me to write a review for this album by Moby. I listen to the album over and over again anyway. Even though I sometimes find Moby a bit difficult as a person, I still like most of his music. And I particularly like this album. Here, as with some other albums I've already noticed, I don't need to listen to it again to be able to rate it. But hey, there's always time for good music. 5/5

My relationship with Roxy Music and their music has always been a little divided. Just as I am with the music of Brian Eno. Of course I knew the cover of the album. Now I've heard it for the first time. I liked it for the most part. I will listen to it again in more detail. 4/5

I wasn't familiar with the band or the album before. After reading the reviews and the Wikipedia article, I was expecting the worst. But this music is right up my alley. I enjoyed listening to it. I think the album is worth listening to again. 4/5

I don't think I want to say much about this album. The dominant feeling when listening to it was boredom. It was almost annoying. 2/5

I hadn't heard anything about the album or the band before. The first impression from the cover made me expect bad country music. But it wasn't like that. I liked the album. There wasn't anything on it that I absolutely have to hear again. But as a support act at a concert of giants or at a festival, it would certainly have been fun. 3/5

This is Tom Waits' 4th album in this project. I like Tom Waits' smoky, dirty voice. The sound and the arrangements are unusual, scratchy and yet very fascinating. I always listen carefully to Tom Waits. There's something about his music that speaks to me. Even if this album is supposed to be a caesura in Waits' music career, it is unmistakably Waits. Not suitable for all days but again and again magnificiant. 4/5

I've never heard of either Nina Simone or the album. Nina has an impressive voice. The lyrics of her songs are great. Very good music and arrangements. I don't listen to this genre and especially this kind of partly minimalistic realization very often, but I always like it from time to time. 4/5

I only got into the Rolling Stones late in life. As a teenager, I thought they were overrated. This was a kinde of attitude. Now I see things differently. I hadn't heard of this album before. As another reviewer wrote, I also think this album is only on the list because it's by the Rolling Stones. It's not their best album by a long shot. What's interesting is that the great Stones, like every other backroom band, actually started out as a cover band. The originals of the covered songs are far better than the Stones versions. As a side note and information on the historical background, the album is interesting. However, it has no place on the list because it is not groundbreaking. 3/5
