Great cover. An interesting album. I've learned something again. I wasn't familiar with Nu Metal. I like some of the approaches on the album. In some places the music sounds like Faith No More (probably no coincidence), in other places I recognize Rammstein (Neue Deutsche Härte) or Linkin Park. Nevertheless, the band has a lot of originality. Overall, I find the music exhausting. Beforehand, I thought that I would get through the album quickly and only play a few tracks. And now I've listened to it in its entirety. Maybe I should give the album another chance when I'm in the right mood. 3/5

Highway to HellAC/DC

Rated 10/10

I only got into AC/DC late in life. Without having studied their music, I found them to be a kind of cheap hard rock. I always thought a few songs were great, but overall I didn't understand the euphoria about the band and their music. Now I've listened to one of their albums in its entirety. And I really enjoyed it. The sound is great, a great soundtrack to a road movie. I'll definitely listen to it more often. 5/5

A beautiful album. I enjoyed the jazz. I wouldn't have expected that from an African band. All the better to have learnt something new here. I find one or two tracks on the album a bit tiring. Maybe I'll like them better after listening to them again. 3/5

The SliderT. Rex

Rated 6/10

T.Rex and glam rock, I heard that in my early youth and have almost forgotten it. I was thrilled back then. Today, I mostly only listen to it for nostalgic reasons, which aren't the worst. My taste has changed, partly due to the discovery of many other genres. And so I was able to listen to the album quite well, but I won't be doing it again any time soon. 3/5

For me, this is the 2nd Beach Boys album on the list. I experienced a few surprises in the course of the project, so I thought I'd give the album a chance. I even had to cancel a block from my streaming provider. I like the album better than the other stuff I've heard from the band. Nevertheless, I just don't enjoy the Beach Boys. Maybe you have to live in California for that. 3/5

An interesting album. I'm not familiar with the band or the album. The sound reminds me of early The Cure. The album was fun. It's quite possible that I'll listen to it more often. 4/5

I wasn't familiar with James Taylor before. Singer songwriter and folk are genres that I don't really like. But I really liked this album. I could listen to it again. 4/5

Signing OffUB40

Rated 10/10

I'm familiar with UB40. I've certainly heard their music too. However, I confused them with U2 because of the similarity of the name. That won't happen to me now. I really like listening to raggae and especially ska and DUB. This album, which I didn't know before, fits in very well. I am thrilled. That was the reason to listen to more of UB40. In fact, I'm familiar with the songs Red Red Wine, Kingston Town and some more of their hits. But I like this album much better. 5/5

Half-time: This is the 500th album in my project - although the list contains more than 1000. But still, a milestone. My relationship with Brain Eno's music is ambivalent. I really liked some of the pieces I heard from him. I also got to know and love the ambient genre through his music. Other pieces, on the other hand, got on my nerves or simply didn't matter to me. And it's the same with this album. It leaves me with a mixed impression. 3/5

I've known Jamiroquai for a long time. I thought some of their songs were pretty good. The band was quite popular on my favourite radio station for a while. Later I found the music too hectic, acid jazz from kindergarten children on speed. I quite liked the album, even if I didn't become a fan of it. I don't switch off when I hear it, but I don't look for it either. 3/5

The last bossa nova album I listened to as part of this project made me doubt whether I liked this genre. Until then, I thought I did. Now I know it was because of the albums I was listening to up until then. I'm quite sure that it might have been because of Stan Getz, as I really liked this album. It won't be one of my top favourites, but I can listen to it again and again. 4/5

I like the genre in which Goldfrapp play. That's why I was familiar with the band's name. However, I also remember finding the music rather boring and uninteresting. So now an album by the band that has been ennobled by its position on the list. I don't realise why. I listened to the cloying and extremely boring crap for quite a while and ultimately didn't get through the whole album. The music was always on the verge of getting on my nerves. 2/5

What a load of shit. I tried it over three pieces. This noise is unbearable. And I say that even though I like to listen to Industrial in between. 1/5

Scott 2Scott Walker

Rated 2/10

I've listened to 4 tracks on the album. I don't like the arrangements. I don't like the music and I don't like the voice. Incidentally, I don't like Jaques Brel either. The album reminds me of hypocritical American stage shows in Las Vegas. I don't need that. 1/5

I See YouThe xx

Rated 6/10

I quite liked the music. I doubt whether it is good enough to make the album one of the so-called 1001 best. But that also applies to many other albums on the list. Following a tip-off, I rummaged through the known editions of the 1001 albums and didn't find this album. Strange. Well, it's not one of my top favorites anyway, but maybe I'll listen to it again. 3/5

Jane Weaver and Modern Kosmology were unknown to me until now. I find the music quite interesting. It doesn't cause me any storms of enthusiasm, but it is pleasant to listen to. 3/5

That must have been a great concert. I'm afraid that as someone who wasn't there and listens to the recording over 60 years later, it loses a little of its otherwise certainly extraordinary effect. But the blues session I heard afterwards was nice. I also liked getting the hint to listen to B.B. King again. 3/5
