Country isn't really my thing. But every now and then, you find some gems in that genre that I really enjoy. That's how I felt about this album. I probably won't listen to it again, but it was fun for this one time. 3/5

Phew. The "World" genre apparently refers to music that’s very African, Middle Eastern, or Indian. I might listen to one or two tracks from it. A whole album is too much for me. It might be great music, and the influences on "my" music are very important. But I just can’t get into it. 1/5

I really liked the album. It reminded me of OMD's music. The only track that really bothered me was "Other Voices," which had more of a hip-hop vibe. 4/5

An interesting album. Even though I’ve listened to it quite a few times and I actually like The Smiths, it doesn’t really grab me throughout. I find the story behind the cover fascinating. 4/5

I'd never heard of the band before. I really enjoyed the album. Powerful rock with equally powerful female vocals. I'll definitely give it another listen. 4/5

That was some pretty wild music. Glam and punk together—you don't see that very often. It was kind of fun, but the sound was pretty flat. A funny idea alone just isn't enough. I probably won't be listening to that again. 2/5

I don't like Bob Dylan. His voice is annoying, and that harmonica just goes on and on. To be able to listen to this album, I had to temporarily disable the filter blocking Dylan on my streaming service. Surprisingly, I actually enjoyed the album for quite a while. It wasn't until toward the end that it started to get on my nerves, and I had to stop listening. I won't be listening to it again, and I've already re-enabled the filter. 3/5

The fact that it was labeled as hip-hop put me off right away. As usual, though, I gave the album a chance and listened to it. I was also motivated by a few reviews. I found the first track quite interesting, but by the second track at the latest, the album’s heavy focus on hip-hop became all too clear to me. After listening to a few more tracks and finding that they all seemed to be the same, I gave up. Hip-hop isn’t music. 1/5

I hadn't heard of the band before. I knew the song "There She Goes" and had always liked it. I liked the rest of the music pretty well, too. There was just one song that got on my nerves so much I stopped listening to it. All in all, it's not a bad album, but it doesn't really interest me. 3/5

It took me a long time to really appreciate Isaac Hayes. I didn’t realize until much later that he composed the soundtrack for *Shaft*—by then, I was already a fan of his music. I really like this album. It’s a shame he doesn’t sing much on it, because his voice is still amazing. 5/5

I gave it another try this time, but no, hip-hop isn't music. What I heard wasn't as bad as other hip-hop albums. But I didn't feel like wasting my time on stuff I don't like. 1/5

I didn't discover this album until five years after it was released, while I was in college. Until then, I hadn't heard of Dire Straits. That's when I got to know and love their sound. Nothing has changed since then. 5/5

That was the album everyone listened to when I was in my twenties. I thought the hits on the album were pretty nice, but a bit too saccharine. I did listen to the rest of it once, but I found it boring. Nothing has changed in that regard. 3/5

An interesting album. Really out there. I think it was very innovative at the time. However, the band and the album aren’t that far ahead of other bands and albums in terms of innovation. Similar music and experiments had already been around for years. But the album is definitely worth a listen. It reminds me in part of Krautrock, Tangerine Dream, early Pink Floyd albums, and Monty Python. That’s excellent company. I’m going to listen to the album again. 4/5

This is the last Van Morrison album I’m listening to for this project. It’s a double album that includes a live recording. I find that combination a bit tricky. Surprisingly, this was the album I liked best. It was nice to listen to, but it didn’t captivate me enough that I feel compelled to listen to it again. 3/5

That was a surprising and surprisingly fun album. I listened to it twice right away. And that won't be the last time. 4/5

Despite Mirrissey's strange, eccentric, and perhaps even very unsettling views, I'm hooked on his voice and his music. I really enjoyed this album as well. 4/5
