This felt more bluesy than folk, I quite liked it - apart from those harmonica parts!

On regular repeat throughout my teenage years.

There is much to like here. Drags in places, but overall good.
I couldn't shake hearing similarities with Guilty Partner's verse bassline with Monaco's What Do You Want From Me? (well, it's all Peter Hook, so all cool).

As soon as the title track kicks in, the nostalgia hits way too hard for me! 🤘🤘🤘🤘

Very samey, enjoyable though.

Sure, this may be pretentious artsy bullshit, but there is something strangely endearing about Robert Wyatt.

My initial reaction was this is great, then I started to nitpick some of the tracks... I told myself to chill out and enjoy the ride, so yeah, an optimistic 5 stars!

I'd heard some Sepultura tracks in the 90s, but never really got into them. Listening today, the constant screaming got too exhausting.

I couldn't find any reference to this album in the 1001 books or even the ex-1001 list. Fiona Apple's Tidal is on the list, but I'm unsure why this one is here. 🤷
As for the album, if you'd have told me that it was recorded during the COVID lockdowns, I wouldn't have been surprised... but that it was recorded before then, yikes, talk about going stir crazy!
Rated 10/10
It got overplayed at the time, but it's still a favourite. Powerhouse of an album!
(I'm blissfully ignoring the harmonica parts)

Interesting to read up on the backstory of Ware & Marsh transitioning from Human League to BEF/Heaven 17, and the Pavement/Penthouse sides concept, but that's as far as it went, I found the album itself quite dated and lyrics cliché.

It's Van Morrison... but LIVE! 🤷
Rated 6/10
As with the other Björk albums, it's not bad, it's just that I can't quite figure out if it's good or more self-indulgent madness... "Björkness" I guess!
It was fine, but not very memorable. I had to go back this morning to remind myself of a few tracks... yeah, it was fine, maaan! ✌️
Rated 4/10
I hadn't heard this before and was quite interested to listen... and I got bored, very bored indeed!
Rated 6/10
This album felt more lounge blues than country, I quite liked the slow meandering vibes it gave, quite mellow and chilled.

80s "plod-rock", LOL!
Rated 8/10
Enjoyed this, I give it 4 stars... one for each of the power chords they played repeatedly!
Rated 8/10
First time listening, I really enjoyed the first half, but the second half kind of spiralled off. 3.5

I'm not overly familiar with Leftfield, apart from tracks on various movies, and hadn't heard this album before. It's very good, but would probably need more familiar to give it a 5.
