Quite a few Paul Simon inspired moments here.

I'm starting to think that the user submitted albums need some explainer why they selected it. I mean, I'm sure someone fancies the pants of Rachel Stevens, but I can't see much beyond manufactured bubble-gum pop here.

Given that "The Distance" is one of my all-time favourite songs, I recall struggling with this album at the time of its release, something never quite clicked for me. Re-listening today, (nearly 30 years later), I appreciated it so much more, it's a great album! 4.5

I guess everyday is like a Sunday!
"Ladies and gentlemen, there are seven acknowledged wonders of the world. You are about to witness the eighth..." oh yeah, great hip-hop vibes here!

Just another ex-1001 album!™

Such miserable tripe! Cliché shoegaze.
We get it, they found the distortion pedal and couldn't figure out how to give it a rest.

Pleasant enough.

It's quite magical really.

A masterpiece!

Tarkus! Tarkus! Tarkus!
Dude, I mean, just look at this artwork, says it all really!
As for the album... could this batshit rock get any more progressive??

Now I'm gearing towards the end of the 1001 list, I'd hoped the duds were behind me... but nope, there's always one more to bring out that good olde apathy and indifference... Welcome to Yawnville! 🥱

I'm sure there is talent here, but this ain't for me! Got annoyed with the background samples/loops, far too repetitive, gave me a headache.
Rated 10/10
Probably one of my favourite discoveries on the 1001 albums. A top tier album!

Yet another great album by Wacko Jacko!

I always wanted to like this more than I actually did. It's pleasant enough though.

Quite beautiful and ethereal. 3.5

The opening 2 tracks were pretty good, then it descends into a gloomy introspective melodrama.
I always want to like Echo & The Bunnymen more than I actually do.
Rated 4/10
It's an odd album, definitely wants to be a musical, a neurotic cabaret, of sorts.
The artwork cracks me up! 🤣

I wasn't familiar with the Allman Brothers... this album is ultimately a big olde jammin' session, I enjoyed it well enough on first listen, doubt I'd revisit.
