I find it almost funny how people use things like violence and misogyny in rap music as an excuse to be racist when one of the most extreme cases of it is from a pasty ass white dude.

This is probably a sacrilegious thing for me to say, but I think sometimes the songs drag on too long. Do we really need multiple minute long songs that are made that way just from the intro alone?

Anyway, now that I've gotten all my complaining out of me for the day, I do really like the vibe of this album. I like the songs on individual levels a lot, and I don't think I would mind the length as much if I were listening to them in a playlist instead.

On one hand, I really like political rap. On the other, I really dislike gangster rap. Enough of the misogyny and f slurs, please. Very hit and miss album for me.

I think hip hop is at its absolute best at it's most political. Discovering albums like this is why I started this project. The only thing stopping me from giving it a 5 is things like the slight homophobia. But, given the politics of the rest of the album, I'd like to believe that was just a side effect of the time period and that the album would be much more queer friendly if it was released today.

So far, this is the second album I've listened to containing the f slur. Please tell me there aren't any more. Please. Why are albums filled with pure bigotry able to be considered the best albums of all time? Shit like this makes me almost want to quit this project.

DebutBjörk

Rated 8/10

Boy, my generator REALLY likes Bjork. Already on my third album of hers and I'm not even 100 albums in.

So far, every album of hers I listen to I enjoy more than the last. I can't tell if that's because she's just growing on me as an artist as a whole or if certain albums are just genuinely better than others.

Oh hell yeah 😎

After getting bad album after bad album almost every day this month, I was starting to get really depressed about this project. But I fucking love this album, I really needed this today.

Was just gonna be like "oh, this isn’t for me" but Lake Of Fire pissed me off. How the hell did Nirvana take that mess and make it sound good? I wish I never heard the original. This album is BAD
