This is my third 5 star rating in a row. Can we keep the streak going?
Rated 10/10
Really great!
Rated 10/10
I didn’t want to give it a 5, but I can’t help it. It’s great.
Rated 6/10
Pretty okay. Didn’t come off as anything special.
Rated 6/10
Fine. I’m not sure it needed to be on the list.
Rated 8/10
I think if all the British hip hop, electronic, and punk music I didn’t know that this project introduced me to, Massive Attack is cream of the crop.
Rated 6/10
Interesting. I’ve never listened. I think maybe a repeat listen or two might get me really into it. But it is a three for now.
Rated 10/10
No notes. As an album, it comes together really well.
Rated 6/10
I almost gave this a 2, but I think it deserves a 3. It wasn’t bad, but I won’t be revisiting.
Rated 8/10
I never really got into Silver Jews, but I need to.
Rated 8/10
I had not heard of this, but I really liked it.
Rated 4/10
Meeeeeeeeeh. I liked a song or two, but it wore on me. I didn’t like it.
Rated 4/10
I was struck with how sterile and filled with impotent, adolescent rage this is. I’m not saying that a band needs to use profanity to be good, but this gives this the sense of this being watered down “metal” for babies.
It’s otherwise fine, but never threatens to become actually good. I don’t think it deserves a 3. Doesn’t deserve a 1.
Rated 6/10
Just another regulate, old British punk album that the editors feel like we needed to listen to another one of.
Rated 6/10
Meh. It was fine. The vocals didn’t do anything for me.
Rated 8/10
Really great, but some of the songs didn’t hit.
Rated 8/10
At times: amazing. Other times: meh.
I think this is an easy 5, if you trim 20 minutes. Unfortunately, those 20 minutes brought this down to a 4 for me.
Rated 6/10
Some OK songs. A good song or two. Some songs I did not like. I think this is overall fine. It’s pretty much as 3 of an album as I can think of.
Rated 2/10
Yeah, naw. I’m not even going to listen to this album or terrible person. Automatic 1 star.
