I love me some James Brown. This was pretty great, and had a nice mix of four and five star songs, but doesn’t quite get to 5.
I prefer Sex Machine, and I don’t think it’s on this list for some reason.

I wasn’t feeling this. I never listened to Jamiroquai and thought it was a person before today. Now I know.

You know, I’ve given Gillian Welch a shot in the past. She just doesn’t catch on with me. I’m not mad I listened to this again. It’s pleasant enough. But nothing that brings me back consistently.
Rated 8/10
It’s a good album. I love the guitar playing. I have always been, and remain to be, lukewarm on the vocals.
I like a few of their albums better, but this is great and always fun to listen to.
Rated 6/10
Another OK one.

Oooooo, I’ve been waiting for this one. Historically, I’ve been a very big Paul Simon fan. And this is my favorite solo album of his. And my second favorite album he’s penned (after Bridge Over Troubled Water).
I usually like Paul’s deeper cuts more than his hits, and this is no different.
Look, I love Mother and Child Reunion and Me & Julio. But Duncan is my favorite song here. And the rest of the songs are really great. Like, just meandering through Paul being a fantastic musician and kind of weird and sometimes goofy songwriter.
I love this album very much.

Not bad. A little too echoey for me.

I was going to give this a 5 all along. But RIP, Ozzy.
Rated 6/10
It was fine.

I almost got fooled by the three star moments on this one, but it’s not very good and I didn’t enjoy most of it, so it gets a 2.
Rated 6/10
I’ve been having heavy M.I.A. confirmation bias this week. I felt like I was randomly hearing about her all week and then got this. Not sure what’s up with that.
I’m not sure why this is on this list, except that the editor is British and loves British rap.
It was fine. I didn’t not like it.
This was alright. It had some nice stuff and some stuff I wasn’t as into.
Rated 8/10
Really good, and reminds me of college.
It’s hard to grade this one, since it’s so long. If I think about it, there’s probably a 5 star album in there, a 4 star, and a 3 star. As much as I want to give this a 5…it’s honestly an overall 4.
I listened to this in three chucks and loved it.
Pretty run of the mill

Well, my complaints about being fed so many low rated albums resulted in us getting the fourth lowest rated album in the generator. Sorry, folks.
Not a fan. I was between a 1 and 2 on this. The guitar playing is OK, but I think it’s just more distorted than impressive?
I was thinking about the other albums I’ve given 1s, and then, when I started considering not listening to the whole thing, I knew this one needed that rating too. I did, however, listen to it all.
It was alright. Not typically the type of stuff I like, but pretty cool.
Rated 8/10
I guess I like The Fall. This was a lot of fun and fits the overall vibe the generator has been giving us lately.
Anyone else notice the overall quality of the albums we’ve been getting lately? Of our last 30 albums, the global review of 17 have been below 3.00. Of the remaining, only one has been above 3.30 (Fear of Music). The average global review of those 30 is 2.9943333
To put it into context, the average global review is 3.4.
I guess, some things to consider are we’re listening to 1001 albums, so a pocket of 30 like this doesn’t seem so note worthy in the grand scheme. But, when you’re in the thick of it, it can feel a little tiresome. Hopefully this means we’ll get a good run eventually.
Also, our group’s average rating of the 30 is 3.51, which is right around our average.

This was alright! I was pretty not looking forward to it, but it had bits I really enjoyed, and bits I didn’t so much. I might give it a relisten sometime just to pick out my favorite songs from it.
Rated 8/10
The heck? I’m surprised to have not heard of them. It was interesting. I think I really liked it?

I think Van Morrison had the second greatest 4 album run of all time, after Stevie Wonder.
But Stevie isn’t a POS now (right?!)
