Almost back to back in the Beta Band. I didn’t like this as much as the other one. It was still pretty good, but not a 4.

This was better than I thought it would be. It’s a 3.5, but I round down.

I wasn’t familiar with this band and wasn’t particularly excited to listen to it.
I’m glad I did. It was a really nice listen! I’d listen to more.

Is Yes my new favorite band? No. Has this project made me a fan? Absolutely. They might be my new favorite band.

It had some nice moments, and some songs stood out more than others. It got a little boring and overly long, but I liked it fine.

Really cool. A lot of fun.

Some pretty run of the mill 60s folk/psychedelic rock.

Maybe this could have benefited from a closer listen, but it was pretty just OK.
There’s some good stuff in here. I’ve listened to this band before at the recommendation of someone doing this project. I might have to check out some more of their stuff still.
Frank, I love ya, but…
And PUSA isn’t on this list? Really?
This was fine. I’d never heard of them and I’m not surprised. Pretty run of the mill. I was between a 2 and 3 on this. I didn’t not like it, so I don’t think it deserves a 2.

Our last Morrisey for this project. Great to get it over with less than half way though, but upsetting that they made use listen to this nob with such frequency up until now.
This was actually pretty good. A begrudging 3, but he’s still a huge douche.

Nice. I never really got into Joy Division, but I liked it.

I’ve always thought of this, Modern Times, and Love & Theft to be something of a trilogy. This is my least favorite of the three. It’s just a bunch of rudimentary blues riffs.
Also, every song on those three albums is, like, six minutes long.

I have a particular fondness for Donovan. We have a handful of records of his. I recall one evening, Shea and I were playing cribbage and listening to records and I randomly threw on on. When it was done we both sort of went. “Should we just play another of his?”
Since then, he has been a favored musician in our home.
Sunshine Superman is one of my favorite his, and Season of the Witch is great. The rest is good, but doesn’t meet those levels. Realistically, this is a 3.

Ho, boy. I’ve always genuinely liked the radio hits off of this, but not enough to sit down and listen to it. Despite my owning it on vinyl.
The rest of this was filler that ranged from acceptable to not great and all the way down to Jumpin’ Jack Flash.
The length of the rest and how bad this got at times, as well as when he said he was going to get “funky”’and then played a song that sounded exactly the same as the rest of them, gets this a 2.

It was just perfectly fine.

I was not excited to listen to this. I had never heard of this guy. But I really liked it!
I will admit that I did not listen to the entire outro. Woof.

Nice. Cool vibes and pretty good music and beats. I was very worried this was just going to be an hour of boom-chick beat drops for da club. You know, the electronic music I don’t like actively listening to. But it wasn’t. It had more substance and even had some four star moments.
I’m not mad I listened. I probably won’t revisit, but who knows. I could see just chilling with this on in there living room.

This just wasn’t for me. I didn’t like the sound. I’ll give it a three, because I liked it fine.
