Clearly some good musicianship.

The lyrics and the vocals didn’t do anything to help get it above a 3, though.

VeryPet Shop Boys

Rated 4/10

I’ve never liked Pet Shop boys. I don’t like their whole synthy, echoey vocal thing. Whenever I hear music like it, I always compare it to Pet Shop Boys.

No shade on people who love their music. That’s great. It’s just not for me.

A pretty interesting look into the untimely twilight years of a legend. Years of health issues and drug abuse have made her voice sound a little more rough and aged than maybe it should have.

Musically, this is pretty good. This isn’t a 4 for me, but I enjoyed it.

This was fine. I couldn’t help but compare this to the AC/DC we just listened to. I liked this better because the vocal were better, so it earns a 3

BEYONCÉBeyoncé

Rated 4/10

Yeah, I don’t know. A lot of this seemed disingenuous. I totally get the “this is boring, unexciting music that was produced via assembly line” criticism

“Workin’ 9 to 5 just to stay alive” and “I probably won’t make no money off this. Oh, well.” Made me roll my eyes pretty hard. And the album had barely started.

Too long, boring, and pandering. I couldn’t make it through.

Rated 8/10

Pearl Jam gets a bad rap amongst folks whose opinion I care about. So I never really gave them a shot. But this was great.

I couldn’t make it through. It’s the vocals. Wow! Yow! Woooooo.

It’s got this quality I don’t like that I associate with hard rock or power rock, or whatever you want to call it. Sometimes I can give those types of vocals a pass (T-Rex), but it didn’t do it for me here.

I’m really torn by this n on its own, it’s a 4 or maybe a 5.

I legit think Kanye is/was a creative genius. But also just an awful, awful person. It’s a shame he couldn’t be neutral to good, so I could enjoy his music without guilt.

Anyway, I’ll give it a 3.

I finally pulled out my vinyl if this to listen, since it’s not on my streaming service. Is it the best Neil? No. Still a 5? Yeah.
