Love the way the synth sounds on this. His singing may not even count as singing, but it works. Just a great album

Just class

It was okay. The guitar was good but the vocals felt weak compared to everything else. Every song was way longer than it needed to be. There was no progression in the tracks. They just repeated the same thing a few more times than they needed to.

It’s alright but there’s nothing really notable about this.

I’ve known a few people who love this album and played it around me a lot, but I’ve never liked it as much as them. It’s not really my thing
Rated 2/10
Most of this was really grating, mainly because of the minimal instrumentals/beats. Doin’ Our Own Dang was really good though so I’m glad I didn’t drop this midway through. It’s a shame the rest of the album before it was a massive slog. It feels weird to give 1 star to an album with such a strong song but I almost didn’t finish this one.

From what I’d heard about The Band I thought I’d like them a lot but I found this really boring

Opens with the fingernails song from my childhood. Good rock, although it could use some more variety.
Rated 6/10
It’s just fine

Absolutely cracking album until a very dull final track which kills the mood. Love the loud guitars throughout the rest of the album.

My problems with this album (overly long and the almost comical, shoehorned-in misogynistic lyrics) seem to be problems many albums in this scene have.
That said, Ice Cube does have a great voice for this kind of music. He’s very strong. There are some good songs on this album, but I’ve opted for three stars because I don’t see myself listening to the full thing again.
Rated 8/10
Not quite 5 stars for me as it was mildly repetitive but otherwise a fantastic album

TUNES. Only thing is I prefer the version of Round & Round that is on the best of because this one lacks the intensity that makes that version so good. Otherwise love this album.
Rated 8/10
Wasn’t that into it at first but it really grew on me. Not sure what it is specifically but I really enjoyed it.
Rated 8/10
This album is at its weakest when it leans too heavily on rap. The rap on this isn’t incredible. The rock elements of this are fantastic though. Actually my first time listening to a Linkin Park album despite pretending to know about them when I was younger and they were associated with the bands I liked. Pretty good actually. Nostalgic even though I haven’t properly listened to them. However, I did recognise more tracks than expected.

The singer’s voice is DULL. Instrumentally not terrible, but, as a whole, this isn’t particularly engaging to me.
Rated 6/10
I don’t feel strongly about this either way. It’s not grating but it doesn’t stand out to me.
Rated 2/10
Mortified to hear there’s two more of these
