This is way too overproduced for my taste. It's too artificial-sounding; it feels completely emotionless. I quite liked "Take a Slice," though.

I saw the length and winced. But when I started listening, I forgot about the length. I really bought into this. A lot of really great tracks on here. Could it have been made into a more focused single album? Sure. But I was happy to have the extra songs.
I liked this more than I expected to; I liked the Mark E. Smith style singing. Sounds a little dated, but still enjoyable. To the submitter who wondered if they should have submitted Underworld's Beaucoup Fish instead - yes, that's a better album :) Maybe someone else will submit it.

What a great bass sound he has. So listenable. I really liked Okonkole y Trompa. And (Used to be a) Cha Cha is amazing.
I stand by my review of their first album.

No. Just no.

Enjoyable Swedish Americana. I realise that I may be slightly differently calibrated for the user list than I was for the main, because this sneaks into a four for me, but I suspect it may only have got a three on the main list.

I listened to a couple of tracks, and they were okay, but not great. This might have been a three if the submitter could have been bothered to choose an actual album rather than a three+ hour compilation.

I can imagine quite enjoying sitting back and listening to a set of this at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass. Good in its genre, even if that genre isn't entirely my thing.

Adequate Canadian rock. Didn't offend me, but wasn't particularly exciting. A low three.
I liked the instrumental bits best - e.g. the extended intro to My One And Only Love, where Coltrane's sax and Garrison's bass interplay nicely. Hartman's voice is nice but it dates the album, which otherwise might seem timeless.

I left a review for this saying something along the lines of "I listened to this two days ago and already can't remember it," but the system seems to have swallowed it. Well, I remember it even less now. All I recall is that I didn't care for the singer's voice.

After a week of solid twos and threes, what a relief to get something I actually like. This would get a five even if I weren't coming out of a dry patch. Thanks submitter!

I saw the band and recoiled in horror. I hated the previous one of theirs on this list. This one was surprisingly not so terrible, though I still dislike the singer's voice, especially when he goes super deep. But overall a two, maybe even on the upper end, which is more than I thought it would get.

I like a bit of punk, and this was fine, but a little more pop punk than I generally prefer. A decently high three

What is it with all the Canadian bands on here? I wasn't keen on The Tragically Hip, disliked The Weakerthans, and I'm not too keen on this either. This is trying a little too hard to be quirky; ends up sounding like the theme tune for a Nickelodeon show.
Rated 4/10
I don't like the singer's voice at all, and the music wasn't nearly interesting enough to redeem it from that. A very low two.
Rated 6/10
Not really my kind of thing, though I liked some of it. Dirty Blue Balloons guitar solo was the highlight here for me. Low three.

I can hear the DNA of the Strokes in here (which is a little odd, I don't think Fab Moretti was co-writing Strokes songs at this point). I enjoyed this a reasonable amount - a high three.

This was fine. Not unpleasant, but it didn't stand out in any way.
