The production on this album might still be the best of anything I’ve heard on this list so far.

Man, maybe culture is so strong… I just have such a hard time taking some of these seriously. “Save the Children” sounds like an SNL skit, while “Right On” and “What’s Going on” feel like stone-cold classics.

Okay, will be honest…when this came up I wasn’t so sure. Holy moly…this should be required listening for everyone who wants to (or says they already do) understand American music, its history and how rock was formed.

Look, you don’t get much of the American folk cannon here (as opposed to 94 Brit pop albums) so maybe we can take a beat and appreciate just a second.

It may not be the Stone's best (Exile) but it sure is damn good. From Gimme Shelter (one of the best rock songs and openers ever) to Satisfaction (one of the best rock songs ever) from Country Honk to Monkey Man - the Stones show their blues and country bonfides...why they are different than the other British rock band they are compared to and why they would go on to sing the blues for decades to come.

Great...Elvis just stealing other (most black) artists songs and using his dumb voice. Look, i'm not the target Elvis audience. The session musicians here are solid - and there are some good vibes- but it gets old pretty fast.

The recording of in the ghetto should be buried 6ft in the ground to never be seen again.

Here is the thing with this album………..

Sorry fell asleep even trying to write it. Some cool sounds with odd annoying vocals. Honestly, it’d be a 2 without that dumb falsetto.

It’s solid but not great- repetitive sound of the time, indie like Modest Mouse, vocals like the Killers and some of the hipster attitude of Arcade Fire. But that’s it, it just sounds like everything else.

If post punk sounds like Sparks get a 4- this can’t be up there with it…is my reasoning.

Hard with the YT quality but was rough. You could feel the start of something but not ready yet..still feels like an amateur pub band or college battle of the band.

Hate My Way is the prime example of why this got it's rating.

Did i just like a electronic album? Am i OK? What is wrong with me.

Nearly every electronic album on this list has been some weird sci-fi soundtrack drum beat - but this actually used other instrumentation - some melody and some dance-ability. I'm oddly impressed.

There will be NO faster 5 star album for me...plain and simple. This is one of the greatest rock albums ever made, in instant classic - near perfection.Put it into my veins for all eternity.

It might be my favorite album of all time and anyone who ranked this a 3 or less should get off this site, casue i have nothing for you.

Pretty weird, a LOT of fun. A little to one note but no the later I’m coming back impressed and going up to 5

Like the Brit’s and britpop - when you grew up a certain time this album was just inescapable.

The hits are absolutely incredible, but the rest of the album feels like sleepy filler just to get to the radio hits

Look, all you British Gen X’ers on this site. I’m truly sorry BritPop did a number on your psyche and apparently truly hurt you, I really am. That sucks, but not my problem.

This album rocks and was the perfect album at the right time. Leave your hangup at the door, pick up an acoustic guitar in 7th grade and play wonderwall for your crush.

Okay, title track….Is it endearing or eye rolling pandering? Honestly, no idea. Either way, weakest on the album?

Traveling Man…picks up so much. The ability for old country to tell a story in 3 mins!
