I was very pleasantly surprised by the Boo Radleys. A good 90s alt rock album that sucked me in and was hypnotic in a good way

I’ve never gotten the absolute love for My Bloody Valentine that a lot of people have. I prefer other shoegaze like Slowdive or the Jesus and Mary Chain. Including their comeback album on the list feels excessive
Rated 8/10
This was and all but it really would’ve been improved hearing it live with a topless 70 year old Iggy Pop singing it
I normally don’t need a full album of Irish music, but this was good. Also Fairytale of New York is starting to become one of my favorite Christmas songs, and I’m not even sure if it counts as a Christmas song
Rated 6/10
Maybe a bit more hardcore than I care for, but I can appreciate punk for what it’s trying to do even if the music isn’t always my thing
I assumed Queens of the Stone Age had more personality to them, but this was pretty bland and generic early 2000s rock
Rated 10/10
I’ve probably heard a Sade song somewhere before, but I don’t remember it. So I wasn’t even sure what genre Sade was or anything, but I was kind of blown away. The whole album is great. Laid back but moving. The kind of discovery that makes going through this list worth it
Rated 8/10
Definitely the weirdest PJ Harvey album I’ve listened to yet. Sounds a bit like Joanna Newsom at points. Still very good though
Rated 10/10
I just want to have a good time to my fun Swedish pop
Rated 6/10
A weird hodgepodge of a lot of different styles and influences. It’s all just ok, but it doesn’t do any one thing particularly well.
Rated 8/10
I haven’t listened to every album ever made but I’m just going to assume this is the sexiest album ever
Rated 2/10
I didn’t think this was going to be that bad, but my god the entire thing is just so so boring. There is not a single worthwhile second on this album
Rated 10/10
I just like Sinatra. This type of music would probably be generally boring to me but he’s got a charm that completely carries it and makes it good
Rated 2/10
I had a boss whose favorite band was Linkin Park. He was also a 30 year old libertarian and his favorite director was Christopher Nolan
Rated 4/10
I didn’t really care for Aerosmith before, but all the other reviews mention that apparently Steven Tyler is a pedophile so that makes it even worse. The music is just kinda bland classic rock
Rated 8/10
I like the White Stripes, but I feel like this is their weakest album. I prefer their first three albums to their last three. They feel a bit more homemade and less produced
Rated 8/10
I was a little annoyed at first of getting another techno album. But I looked back and the other Orbital album on the list is the one techno album I’ve liked so far. And this one is similar. I don’t why this is the one techno group I seem to like, but they manage to make their beeps and boops somehow interesting
Rated 8/10
Feels less refined than other Iron Maiden songs I’ve heard, but it still has the energy to make it good
Rated 8/10
The Weight is an absolute classic and the rest of the album pales in comparison but it’s all still pretty good
For some reason I thought this was the band that Bob Dylan’s son was in. It isn’t. I have nothing else to say about this album
