The name is familiar however i have never listened to them. Honestly - pleasantly surprised by this, really quite an enjoyable experience, for sure at least strong 3 stars here, good stuff! Perhaps even one to revisit? Update: definitely REVISIT!! 3.5 on RYM but could even reach 4 stars someday

Pretty nice

spiritualized but make it fun. 4.5
Rated 4/10
It is a tasteful record, which offers at least some interesting qualities and has some cool ideas of its own. A bit on the lengthier side, I do not know if I would keep the album per se, but it is not an egregious inclusion.
7/10 [KEEP]

Aw man my 60s beat music has been rehashed so much it has turned into grey sludge.
Rated 4/10
eh, sei nao, viu. é uma mistureba danada de mil coisas dos anos 90 com britpop. senti que faltou barulho. mas parece que os cara tentaro, fraga. tem sustância pra sair algo de bom ali, só num foi dessa vez.

I've heard the song Bohemian Like You dozens of time, but that's about the full extent of my experience with the Dandy Warhols. I had no idea the they were an American band; I would have put money down on them being from the UK as a lot of this kind of sounds like britpop, but more psychedelic. And I am sure that statement will piss someone off, either a britpop fan or a Dandy Warhols fan, both thinking "this sounds nothing like britpop! How dare you compare this to britpop!?"
I digress, I actually quite enjoyed this album. This is going to be a bit contradictory, but I absolutely love the psychedelic, droning breakdowns and I want them to go on forever, but that being said the whole album does go on a bit too long.

Good poppy shoegaze stuff
Rated 6/10
The Dandy Warhols just sounded effortlessly cool, especially the singles from this album.
Unfortunately’Boys’, ‘..Last Junkie’ and ‘Every day should be a holiday’ are the standouts, with the rest of yhe album good but never quite reaching the same level.
‘I love you’ borders on annoying, but unfortunately this album sums up the Dandy Warhols for me, so much potential but not quite able to deliver consistently enough to be great.

Look, I'm not going to claim this is in anyway groundbreaking or innovative. And it definitely runs out of steam before the end. But I have a simple brain that hears the many, many hooks and gets them firmly embedded in there and so ends up humming Boys Better all day.
If this record managed to maintain the same level throughout, it'd be on for a 4, but it really tails off, so:
3/5
Rated 6/10
Honestly I thought these guys were a one hit wonder. Only ever heard of Bohemian Like You before so was quite surprised this popped up.
It was an alright album, nothing particularly special about it. It almost lost a star at the end, The Creep Out goes on for a bloody eternity.
Top Track - Every Day Should Be A Holiday
Rated 6/10
On the one hand, it’s a bit try-hard, but on the other hand that effort did pay off with some decent tunes, so fair play to the Dandy Warhols.
Rated 10/10
This is pretty fantastic stuff. I might just be out of the loop, but a grunge/shoegaze/psychedelia crossover isn't something I've ever heard. Loved the production on this as well. Loses half a star for being so long.
4.5/5.0: Excellent
Rated 6/10
not bad but way overstays its welcome
Rated 4/10
Starts off pretty good, like some sort of Shoegaze band. That’s about as good as it gets though. The rest of the album either sounds like somewhat pleasant but drawn out Shoegaze or the “Come down” boredom the calmer songs on here bring. The last 2 songs are more of a sanity test than they are actual pieces of music and really make me consider giving this a bottom rating. The rest of the album is ok while some stuff is awful.
Rated 6/10
Я не фанат оцього спейс-психоделік-рок ревайвлу, але цей альбом був нічогенький. Тільки "інді" місця в ньому слабкі.
Rated 8/10
This is why I'm doing the list. Great discovery of a band ahead of its time that I missed during mine.
Rated 4/10
Started out ok but dragged on. The last 20 minutes of the album were boring and started to get downright annoying, not because of weird sounds or anything, it just grated on and on. 2/5
Rated 8/10
This was a good listen. I had coworker years ago that tried to get me into this band and I just wasn't ready to give them a try. It's not my usual thing, but I found it interesting enough that I wanted to hear more. Nice mix of psych and spacey shoegaze tones delivered with a pop sensibility and solid songwriting.
