Ohhh they call themselves “blues” because it makes you sad that you’re listening to them instead of something better

Decent 90s rap, but there’s better stuff from the same time and some of the views uhh don’t exactly hold up

I didn’t mind listening to this, but there’s nothing here that’s memorable. Fine background music but in one ear and out the other

This album is good but I don’t want a child staring at me the whole time either
Rated 2/10
I listened to pretty much this whole album while on the toilet with diarrhea, and I’m not really sure which one was the better experience
Just lock Brian Eno and David Byrne in a room together and let them do whatever weird stuff they want to

Christina Aguilera has an amazing voice and there’s some fun pop songs here. It’s also way way too long. If it was half the length then it would get an extra star easily.

I can see what they’re going for and in small doses hardcore punk can be interesting. But a full album gets to be a bit too much and a little repetitive. Influential and important and definitely deserving to be on the list, but not my favorite listen
Rated 8/10
Definitely not the Talking Heads’ best stuff but plenty to enjoy. It lays the groundwork of all the great stuff they’d do later

I got married at a house in California where the Dead actually used to stay and rehearse in during the 70s. I quite love the band and thought that was such a cool fact. My wife didn’t really care that much about it. She doesn’t like their music that much and I’ve learned that the Dead are one that I listen to on my own time. That’s fine, more americana jams for me. Anyway American Beauty is their best studio album and has a lot of great songs. It’s laid back but groovy and fun

I wasn’t expecting much from this album but it won me over pretty quickly. It reminds me of some of REM’s later stuff and the Smiths as well. Overall pretty delightful

This starts out as a pretty good psychedelic rock album but then slowly degrades song by song until you get to the Toonerville Trolley
I find Bossa Nova a bit too easy listening for my taste. It’s nice and pleasant but just kind of fades into the background. That said, this album is still very good, and the Girl from Ipanema and Corcovado are two all timer songs. Just jazzy enough to make it a good listen

The Stones’s hits are usually pretty great while their deeper cuts don’t really offer much. And that’s definitely the case for Beggar’s Banquet. Sympathy for the Devil is a very good song, but the rest of the album is just kind of standard blues rock stuff. When they lean into just doing an acoustic guitar and straight blues, then it gets pretty good. But otherwise this album is kind of meh, not really a necessary one
Rated 10/10
Stairway to Heaven is overplayed on classic rock radio but it doesn’t really matter because it still sounds great after a 1000 listens. The rest of the album is great too. Not a bad song in the bunch

It is currently real Sad Boy™️ hours

I’m not the biggest U2 fan by any means but they get more hate than they deserve. This is a decent album. They have other albums on the list that more deserving but I didn’t mind listening to this at all
This album is bad, I think? It’s kind of hard to tell. It has so many weird ideas and I’m not entirely sure I can say which ones work or don’t. It’s an interesting listen at least. I wasn’t bored at all during it. At times I was amused and even had fun. But at the same time, there’s long stretches of weird repetitive organ nonsense. I don’t think I’d ever listen to it again. But it also ends with Nutrocker, which is just so out of left field and delightful in bad ways
Rated 8/10
Of my limited metal knowledge, Iron Maiden is my favorite metal band and Number of the Beast is probably their best album. It’s heavy but still very approachable and listenable. Also Satan and stuff
Rated 6/10
Kind of bland generic 80s glam metal/rock. It’s not bad to listen to, but I can’t imagine this existing as anything other than background to just make something feel vaguely 80s-ish
