Just way too much anime theme song energy early in the morning to even appreciate this. And the album cover is just too edgy for some mid metal crap (2.5-3).

Not bad music but not for me

many bangers and easily to listen

This is just the perfect metal sound to me. Fast, precise guitars, powerful, anthemic vocals, songs that have real meaning. I didn't listen to Iron Maiden when I was younger and I'm sad about it so I've been making up for lost time in the last few years. This album is foundational and has inspired so much of the music I *did* grow up with.
I'm in my 30s but I want to be Bruce Dickinson when I grow up.

I was introduced to the band by my younger brother. I always found the band’s “evil” attitude a bit contrived. So I gave their music a thorough listen. But since then, I’ve heard a few of their songs that I really liked. This album, too, can be a lot of fun if you’re in the right mood. Maybe I’ll explore Iron Maiden even more. 4/5

I’ve tried a few times. Not my cuppa tea.

The two records that followed ("Piece of Mind" and "Powerslave") are superior, but this is still great.
Rated 8/10
I found it particularly interesting that this album was included. Typically, when debating Iron Maiden's albums, the ones that get the attention are 'Powerslave' and 'Seventh Son of a Seventh Son'. However, this one's got a nice equilibrium between sounds which to me makes it my preferred record of theirs.

Run to The Hills and Number of the Beast aside this all feels very dated and heavy metal by numbers.
Rated 6/10
Last time we had an Iron Maiden album on the list (their self titled album), I called out the absolutely ridiculous album cover. Well ditto. Look at it - incredibly over the top nonsense. Excellent work.
The album, I feel much the same as I did last time. It's fine. I wouldn't turn it off, but I also wouldn't rush to put it on. I enjoyed The Prisoner but mostly because the clip made me want to watch the series again, and Run To The Hills is a classic.

Of my limited metal knowledge, Iron Maiden is my favorite metal band and Number of the Beast is probably their best album. It’s heavy but still very approachable and listenable. Also Satan and stuff

2.5. My ears get tired after while listening to this type of music.
Rated 10/10
Iron Maiden felt really lame to me as a teenager, just super dated and what old dudes listened to. Now that I'm an older dude, I get it and I love them.
Rated 8/10
Absolutely classic album. Dunno if I'd have put Killers on the list, but this one is essential.
Honestly better than I was expecting, and I was expecting it to be very good. But what I also was expecting is it to sound a but dated. And a song or two do, with its more 80s metal sound, but the album is just great hits after great hits.
Particularly Children of the Damned and Hallowed Be Thy Name (and of course, the title track and Run to the Hills).

Sviraj mejdene \m/ ali moram priznati da mi je debi draži album, nek me niko ne razapinje. Bruce mi je draži kao solo pjevač, ima vrhunskih stvari.

"Black holes in his golden stare / God knows, he wants to go home"
I didn't find this album particularly compelling. And that's not because of the subject matter, nor is it for the genre. The songs largely didn't have great overarching choruses, and the verses were very wordy. I enjoyed "Children of the damned" for its heavy riff and titular line. Beyond this, the real standout track of the album was "Run for the hills," which leans rock-n-roll, and has a great chorus as well as instrumentals, and will be added to the playlist.
Despite its short length, I found myself wishing the album would end sooner, and the vocals contributed to a low-level headache.

I've been waiting to listen to some Iron Maiden & to be honest it might be a bit too linear for me personally, but it's a great introduction to metal
