Why is this here? Started off ok, but then it just got obnoxious. 2*

RATM is perfect for a friday morning at work when I'm part of the machine and I just want it to be the weekend.
Never heard this album in full, but now I'm really appreciating Morello's guitar and how hard it goes overall. 5* UNGHHH
Highlights: killing in the name of
How can I not rate Ray Charles highly? This is so fun and catchy. I don't quite hear the country part, which is not a negative. A rare case where I didn't mind the length. 5*
Yet Another Punk Album
Good energy, but I'm not walking away having found a new album for me. 2*
A very 60s pop album. Similar vibes to others of the era, 3*
Highlights: picture book (catchy as hell)
Rated 2/10
Super weird. A dude talking over minimal guitar strumming for most of it. Garbage. 1*
Oh I see, it's one of those "a genre only exists because of this album" albums: "Spiderland is widely regarded as foundational to the 1990s post-rock and math rock movements" UGHHH
Rated 2/10
Annoying, angsty, mid, 90s music.

Just a week ago I said this was a better album than Blood sugar sex magik! This album is very nostalgic to me, and almost every song is a banger. Hearing it now, man the guitar/bass/drums just had so many good moments, but the front half feels more loaded than the back.
Highlights:
- around the world (what a groove)
- otherside (one of my faves for decades now, love the harmonies), scar tissue (guitars!)
- californication (iconic groove; I still use "the sun may rise in the east but at least it settles in a fine location" to know my cardinal directions)
- road trippin' (iconic line: "blue you sit so pretty west of the 1" when you go to big sur).

Every time I hear "i believe in a thing called love" I'm like, whatever happened to this band? Their sounds is very early 2000s.
First time hearing the whole album, and their sound is very reminiscent of 70s big hair rock. I didn't discover new songs I like, but not a bad album. 4*
Rated 4/10
Holy mother of pop albums -- I feel like I'm listening to some 60s TV soap opera theme song right off the bat. She has a nice voice, but I'm not sure this has stood the test of time, feels overproduced and saccharine as hell. 2*
Rated 4/10
The Bowie comparisons are pretty spot on. Some of it reminded me of the Rolling Stones (ballad of mott the hoople).
When I see a band I don't recognize, I'm always leery of them being on this list. I wasn't wrong, sounds mediocre and derivative. 2*
Rated 6/10
Mellow album, but I'm also not the biggest fan of his voice. 3*
Highlights: walk on

This is not a top RHCP album for me, that is Californication. Some good stuff and variety in styles, which is nice. Kinda long tbh. 4*
Highlights: give it away, under the bridge
Rated 8/10
Complaining that the beastie boys yell is like complaining that water is wet.
Good energy, some good lines, enjoyable album. After rating a bjork album 3/5, it feels criminal to give this less than 4*
Rated 6/10
It's bjork, so I got into it expecting weird, and then it wasn't as bad as I expected? That's not saying much, but I've heard way worse on this list.
Rated 2/10
Bleep bloop album. Kinda mindblowing that this was worthy of a remaster. It's not the worst bleep bloop album on here, but like, why 1*

On its own, looking back at this album, I like that Christina has a wider range of genres in her music than her pop cohort. 4*
Highlights: fighter, beautiful, the voice within
Rated 2/10
Smoker-ass voice. I like the parts where he doesn't sing.
Rated 6/10
This was chill. I like the part where they just start naming instruments. The album I saw on apple music was just different versions of the same thing, so for that it gets 3*
Highlights: p1 (because movie)
Rated 8/10
60s music that is not the same as everyone else? Great energy. Yes, I know it's technically from 1970.
Highlights: ramble tamble, up around the bend, heard it through the grapevine
