This album was like a brick wall for me. Country music from a guy from England. Just not my thing. Although it's being a little hypocritical because I love the Canadian 80s bands that would purposely sing with British accents.

When Toy Story came out, I hated it. The Randy Newman songs increased that dislike. I was convinced this album was going to be a one star, but I decided to go into it with an open mind. There are some beautiful songs on here!! I am pleasantly surprised.

When I was three years old I loved Planet Claire. Listening to this music now, I never realized they had a very 1960's surfer vibe and some punk as well. Really strange unique voices and I like the girls' harmonies. Giving this five stars for my three-year-old self and to balance out the one star my co-worker gave it.

Surprised how much I liked this album. In Blue, she sounded much too shrill. This album was much more clear, upbeat and had more instrumental variety.

The first song made me think of Final Fantasy or Zelda. This is the second pre-death album I've listened to on 1001 albums (the first being You Want it Darker by Leonard Cohen). I gave that one five stars and this one might be getting five stars too. Okay, now Sue sounds like Final Fantasy fight music. The last song was repetitive and not in a good way, too much saxophone and electric guitar. Still going to give it a five, but that might change...

I used to be obsessed with the classics back in my teens, but now I'm kind of sick of them.

Do I like her voice? Yes...no..yes...no....yes?? There were actually only two songs on this album that I didn't like. The music was great. Really liked the song Supercut.

I was annoyed by the vocals on this one. I know what they were trying to do, but I didn't like how they were doing it.
I usually try to avoid reading the reviews before I rate and write my own, but I really had to check and see if there was something I was missing with this album... Thankfully the top two comments were in line with exactly what I was thinking...So many of these songs are just covers with nothing special about them and if I have to hear "WOOOOOOW!!!" one more time, I'm gonna lose it.
