The instrumentals are fine, and honestly? For the first couple songs I kinda enjoyed the weird vocals, but as time went on just became more annoying than anything. Not the best punk I’ve heard, but it’s still decent

I heard this album for the first time a couple years ago. It was one of my first introductions to rap as a genre, and it’s still one of my favorite of all time, let alone rap albums. From the production to the jokes, this album is perfection.

The hits are all great on here, every non hit is just fine. A couple mid songs, but mostly just fine. Nothing super special about the deep cuts on this, and the middle gets kinda boring, but for a 40 minute experience, it was pretty decent.

This is great! The two 10+ minute songs on here are absolutely perfect, and I love his voice and guitar playing! I heard Jeff Buckleys album a little over a year ago, and I gotta say, this is better! It feels more timeless, y’know? But yeah, overall an incredible album! 4.5/5!

This was a fun metal album. Metal’s always been a hit or miss genre with me, and this is a hit for sure. The instrumentals are hardcore, and sound creative and inspired and all that good stuff. The vocals aren’t my favorite, but that’s just how it is with metal for me. Great album, though!

This is some of, if not THE most fun jazz album I’ve ever heard. I love the trumpets (and all the brass instruments in general) on this album, it’s got such a fun sound, and if the whole album sounded more like the latter half of the album, this might have ended up being a 4.5, or even a 5. However, the first half is all consistent 4/5’s, but still, incredible jazz album.

I recently heard the phrase that country is the “white mans blues”. This album is a pretty good example of that being true lol. It’s fine for country music, but it’s always been one of my least favorite genres. 2.5/5.

Eh, it’s fine. My problem with this record is the same I had with Green Onions by booker T, and also the problem I have with Deangelo’s music. Some of these songs have no vocals on them, and when it comes to R&B, vocals are always better than no vocals. No vocals brings down the songs on a lot of these. And then the songs WITH vocals usually do the same thing Deangelo did on albums like Brown Sugar, where the singer just starts saying the same sentence over and over and over again without anything in the composition changing, making it get fairly boring after a while. The first couple tracks are pretty good, but after that the album loses its spark and goes down to being just ok

It just feels like a worse rage against the machine to me, like, the same sound without the anti-establishment anthems that make RATM so great. Chester is a better screamer than Zach, I’ll give him that. 2.5/5.

So many great songs on here! This encapsulates the 2000’s indie scene perfectly, and there’s some songs on here I can call some of my favorite! I’ll have to check these guys out more on my own time sometime soon.

This album is pretty good, and most of the time, I don’t care if a song is an instrumental or something with vocals, but when it comes to something like this, a R&B and soul record, I want me some vocals on it.

Incredible. Prog has always been my favorite genre, and this is just another incredible album that grows my love for the genre. Great piano, incredible guitar, awesome vocals, the whole package. 4.5/5.

lots of great songs, but nothing that really sticks with you. there's nothing on the caliber of black dog or stairway to heaven on here.

Only good country I’ve ever heard so far out of 600 or so albums that I’ve heard on my own. Good start to my 1001 album journey!
