It's the day of my friend's funeral. A very apt album. Taken as a whole, there's an awful lot here. The subject matter is heavy, deservedly. There's obviously a lot to sing about. I can't give it 5 stars because it's not often I want to actively listen to so much grief. It is brilliant though.
Great cover art.

I used to own Stoosh on tape. A forgotten band.
Not listened to these guys for years..... It's not dissimilar to QOTSA in some of the guitars. Some rocking stuff on here. Half the ballads are good, especially Lately, half are not as good .
If they'd gone all out rock with Lately in the middle I reckon this'd be remembered more fondly.

Phenomenal. The mutant stomp of the title track, Stay's frantic, furious funk and the vocal on Wild is the Wind are all highlights amongst highlights. Maybe his best album.

Listening to this the day after Brian Wilson has died. I can only be honest. I don't like it. It seems that every 30 seconds a new song has started or a new melody or a return to Heroes and Villains. It's too much.

Tough day for Queen. I'm quite ill with a stomach bug. A day off work. I half listen to Queen II. Some of it is well crafted, some of it seems quite silly.

Couldn't find this exact album, so I listened to a Fats Domino best of. Once it had finished, the CD started playing again from the start. Instinctively I moved to press stop, but the music was so good that I listened through again.

This is a beautiful album. Wonderful melodies, sad songs. It's a 4.5 because not everything is memorable, but it's fucking brilliant.

It's very good. Slightly old-fashioned now, but still got a little fire in the belly. Classy arrangements, great vocals.

I used to enjoy this album. I like the texture of it and many of the guitar tones make me feel like I'm floating on a metallic cloud. But I'm not sure there are many songs here, just ideas that float by a little aimlessly.
