This is a bunch of well-written, expertly produced pop songs. The singles are all great and a lot of the other songs are very strong.

I should not like Christina Aguilera. The singing is a lot. This is my second album of hers on this here listening challenge and both times I've been pleasantly surprised. Definitely not a go-to album, but I don't mind it at all.

I just don't dig Janis Joplin. Her sound hasn't dated very well. Too much singing.

Another old friend. Love the first two songs with their spliffy, melodic vibes. Juxtaposed With U's lyric " I'm not in love with you but I won't hold that against you." is beautifully wise.

Sounds like the good shit to me. I'm familiar with UB40's pop hits but this has true grit. Impressive.

Good vibes. Motorik beats with a Broadcast influence. I dig it. Let the records show that I once did sound for Jane Weaver in Manchester.

I like my dance music to feel like I've had way too many drugs. This is a little bit clean and inoffensive in that sense. Some good pop music bangers here but I want more drugs!

Good times. I remember this very well from my student house. It's aged like a fine wine. I'm surprised how much I've enjoyed this today. Friday Night and Love on the Rocks With no Ice are both brilliant fun.

I nearly dig it. Some of the songs are very good. The whole is too messy for me. A bit of polish and this would've come out real nice.

Not the revolutionary sonic bombardment that I expected based on their reputation. Quite straight, dancey music. Absolutely fine, but disappointingly inessential.
